I became really close to one of the girls that worked at the hostel I was staying at. On my last night in Rio before heading down south, she took me to this great place called Lapa 40 Graus. Apparently the biggest pool house in Rio. My night was awesome. We played poor for an hour or two, then went upstairs to play darts. After some shots and a lot of beer, she took my hand and we hit the gafiera. I definetely don’t know how to dance samba, but the live music show was great.
Lapa 40 Graus club has a bit for everybody: it’s a regular bar, a lounge spot, and a club all in one place. And they even have several pool tables! They have four dancefloors, each with different bands and DJs playing samba and other brazillian music, so you never get bored. I went with my boyfriend and some friends and we all had a blast!
Really nice club, very casual athmosphere, excellent place to go for a beer and dance. There is also a nice pool hall, actually 3! After been four times there, became my favourite club in Rio, for sure! And is also in Lapa, which is a really singular zone of Rio de Janeiro.
