No new, wants to look old here. Real is where it's at, and this place IS retro, the real deal. I was in on a friday night, the music was great, the [place was rockin' and the folks were fine. Women, men, young and old, dancing, singing, drinkin' and laughing. That's all this guy needs. Great pool table, lots of beers to choose from, friendly staff and super clean. 2 thumbs up, I'll be back!

OK, so after reading the last review, I headed down to this bar looking for free wifi. What a refreshing change from the usual wanna be irish pub you find in most cities. this place is authentic, it's old, it's got character and it's HOT! I was in on a wednesday night, and they had free live music, and by the look of the posters and the live music schedules on the tables, the place seems to be hopping. It's very clean, the bathrooms were new, the waiter was extremely friendly and the people seemed to be having a great time. You can tell this is a great neighborhood bar. BTW, it's in Hintonburg which is a coll little artsy part of town.
i was looking for free wifi in Ottawa, and came upn this gem. It's a realy old Tavern, (maybe Ottawa's oldest?) still in it's original state. The waiter was really friendly, the prices were cheap, the wifi free, has a pool table, and they even have live music on most nights. Oh and they had a bunch of real nice hdtv's too. Highly reccommended.
