I am teaching students about email and internet and came upon your web site. Very good. Hope you and Peter are well and keeping up the traditions of the bar. May be I might visit again if Colin ever works in Chongqing again.

Sure, it's pot luck whether DD's is quiet or buzzing but quite frankly the place to be for COLD beer (bizzarely rare in Chongqing) and GREAT food - local or western. Celtic Man the only expat hangout...? FORGET IT!
This pub is a must for the traveller purely based on the help and information that can be gained from the owners, staff and customers alike.
The expat population is small in Chongqing and as such Dee Dee's can at times be quiet compared to other bars
