In the earlier years when it was still running by some real dutch guys it was a top Dutch bar in Paris, now it's just a standaard bar. Nothing really is special dutch.
I heard it was sold to some french guys and you can tell that directly, the ambience has changed greatly. And yes more people saying it, who wants French food at a Dutch pub?
I prefer Le port d'Amsterdam (www.leportamsterdam.com). Thats is a real Dutch bar. Where the party's in the weekend stop when somebody says here is no beer anymore, where the girls dancing on the table's. And yes, finally you can eat real dutch snacks like bitterballen, frikandellen, kaassoufle and real dutch hotdogs. Only there is not really a kitchen, so they don't have real restaurant meals. But hell, you don't need that there. The ambience is great in the weekends!
used to be a top Dutch bar in Paris, now it's just crap. The guys who run it are nice, but the ambience has changed greatly since the days when it really was a Dutch bar.
Sorry, who wants French food at a Dutch pub?
One of my favourite bars in Paris - nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, friendly staff.
At last, a really cool little bar that is prepared to sell quality food and drink at really reasonable prices. This is a funky lilttle place where you won't be ripped off, which makes a change in Paris. The Klein Holland is a really cosy bar where one can find anglophones and French alike. In terns of drink the Klein has the lot, including some really tasty dutch beer's and a wicked array of cocktails. The kitchen produces really tasty dutch snacks, which makes a pleasent change from the norm & for those who are really hungry the Klein has a full restaurant menu. All in all if ever coming to Paris, this is a must see.
