Pub Love - Athens - Reviews & Contact Details

I was having dinner at this restaurant in Plaka where I was approached by a tall greek guy , didn't seem arabic to me as is mentioned in most of the reviews. He started by asking the time and went on discussing business and being friendly. When I was about to leave he asked me if I wanted to have a drink. I was skeptical initially but hesitantly said ok. He later took me to this place Pub love. The presence of girls in the place gave me a first indication that this place was not right. However, I still went on and ordered a beer. Two minutes later a pretty russian girl comes and sits by the side , chats up and asks if you will buy her a drink. This should give you an indication that you are being pulled into a scam. However, they just keep on chatting (trying to distract you ) and I was lured into ordering a drink. And also beware that the girl would order a champagne costing a ridiculous 190Euros.I was not aware of the price when I bought the drink( again it is a mistake that should be avoided and you should always look into the rate card). All this time the guy who had initially bought you here would be sitting beside another girl. I guess the champagne bottle contains only water as the girls hardly seem to get drunk. A few minutes later the girl asked me if I could order another bottle. I quickly grabbed the rate card and having seen the price said no. But I ended up paying an enormous bill for nothing!. So yes never ever go to this place. Avoid this place by all means. This place is also listed in Wikipedia as one of the places to avoid along with a similar joint called New York which is apparently on the same street. Wish I knew this earlier!
