On the square Elounda Crete. After a day traipsing round Lato,Knossos Malia palace and the like, theres nothing better than a good long(chilled) glass of Mythos, stretched out either inside (withA/c) or outside FRienDS people watching. it's great a 5* bar and me in my scruff.......It suits all my moods. Daytime 'chill' Nightime ....laugh and listen to some of the best sounds......

The breakfasts served to our Continental and Nordic cousins are megga, and there's me green 'cos I have tried The King Of Cocktails (Dimitris) latest offerings the night/morning before. All wonderful at the time, but not reccomended to a light drinker like me in the quantaties that go down down my throat but you feel obliged to imbibe, it would be rude not to........
Orange juice is all I can stomach but I am assured the food is great...my husband frequently gives a blow by blow account of each bite, he thinks it's funny.
You could go to Elounda on your own and find a whole new group of friends in FRienDS without even trying. there are people who have met up there and catch up with each other without planning to.....Dimitris remembers everyone and tells us who's around.no pressure to actually meet up......but we always do..
Some may find this boring, ...I would have 35 years ago but there are loads of young drifters who go into FRienDS year after year.....so it must be good...you find every nationality there. Dimitris holds 5 way conversations in 5 different languages. , and he's very easy on the eye as well. George Clooney pig ugly compared to our 'D'...his wife and daughters would not let me bring him back for my daughter, but I have first refusal when they trade him in.........
You can find quaint Greek bars and I do visit them but I love the way FRienDS has the old and the new combined in a very chic yet comfy way....plus the nightime bar nibbles are sooo good..they do not serve meals after 8pm. and the muchies hit me so I dig in.....and enjoy every bite.
