What a rip off! by jakkir
Never had a chance to review the ambience, after being charged 8 euros for a vodka
& tonic and one Coke!
Never went back... used Eddy's next door, much nicer with 2 adorable hard working lads.
And while I'm at it...it's absolutely tiny.
Am I thinking of the same place? The beer tasted a bit like egg and it was next door to a 'pub' called eddy's, which had the most annoying bartender in the Algarve?
PS - Am I the only person who has visited Portugal and think that Sagres tastes like pi$$?

best bar in town, great beer, great people, a must visit bar.
It is not very often i write these things, but on a day out with my family i came across Merlins Bar- it is a very friendly bar and I so much enjoyed my time there.

once again we came back to that place ,and we recomend everyone to try it u will never regret it.go and ask for SPIKE AND ANGELINA,.

From day one, they made us feel welcome. Best breakfast in town, served with a Smile. Good snacks and perfect diners (ask for spike´s special sparerib sauce, you ll love it!) Pint of Magners only 3,50 euro!
We spend great nights there.
A pub (and couple) we will never forget and hope to visit again soon!
Really nice place, full english breakfasts are fab!! Even widescreen tv with SKY!!! Shall be visiting again soon!!
A most warm and friendly welcome - a must is Angelina's motorcycle ride around the town! Left feeling that we were leaving friends that we had known for years not days. Made our holiday, and the especially the childrens, a rememberable one. Sorry, Spike, Angelina - we will be back....
Us too went to visit Merlins! What a great place! They really care about their customers! Go and visit them! You will not regret it!
One of the best family bars in the old town of Albufeira. Friendly Atmosphere! We had a great time in there. Located between the two churches.
A place to be! Spike and Angelina do make your holiday worth it! Visit them!
