Whilst on holiday in Albuifera we explored many of the bars we would often walk past Alburtus bar thinking that looks fun and it wasnt untill we actually spoke with Gary and he used a very good pitch on us he wasnt like all the other promoters he told us tips one being to order the local vodka because if you dont then you will get rinsed we went in that night and every other since that the place is lively fun and very relaxed we were behind the bar most nights partying, the staff are all very genuine and never shy to offer free shots! Whilst on holiday I was mugged and Alburtus helped me forget so a heads up to people who visit Albuifera and we will be back soon.
Albertus is the best bar on in Albufeira!! Dj Tony is the bomb!! Brunos Strawberry Daquiris are almost as gorgeous as him! Gary the doorman from Canada is such a cool guy! The people there are just great!! All hail Albertus!!! See yous in September guys!!!! :D Xxx
Me and my friend were in albufeira 4 a week we were there 4 her 19th and was looking 4 a good time... we went at the complete wrong time as it was january but still had the best time returning to albertus bar every night and having a wicked time.. garry, tony and gilly are all lovely and so were all the people we met there alot of them came back 2 the hotel when it closed.. am now returning there 4 my birthday in may!!! :-) cant wait!!!! wish i was there now loool xxx
Ricardo is back working at the Albertus, Bruno has gone to work in the UK. Gil is now a daddy & so is Garry, both wifes/girlfriends had little boys. Tony is still playing good music.
we have been coming to albertus bar every year since
2002 .this is without dout the best bar on the strip and the staff BRUNO RICARDO GARY DJ TONY and not toforget ANGELIQUE are great and the boss GILLY you are always made very welcome any time day or night we have met and made so good friends over the years

we have been visiting albertos bar for many years and have made many freinds giillly , angelique, tony and new star lucia best barmaid in albufeira just returned from another mad week you must visit and say hi to all the staff from jonny elvis and family and kirsty laura and jess
ps all you bruno and ricardo fans we found them working in casa do cerro you need to get a taxi expensive drinks but well worth a visit its an awesome place
This is the best bar on the strip! free shot cheap drinks...the best barmen (however they were only doing gilly a favour)..Lenny n Pauly i miss u already n i av only bin bak a day! Tony thank you very much 4 singin Love shack with me...remember me when im famous lmao! John ur a brill fler person lol...u really made me laff! Ill never forget you and hopefull will be back next summer to work out ther lov to all xxx

were waiting in portugal to go home bad news for all you bruno and ricardo fans they are leaving albertus this week ricardo already left bruno goin wed it wont be the same without you two gary and tony still there and bow chika wow wow jamie is still there kicking it raw any one wanna know were bruno and ricardo are just had a review

Just come back from another week in albertos bar.Have been going twice a year since 2003 .Booked another week in october as soon as we got back.Best bar in albufeira by a mile.Oh the sun was shining too.Steve & Wanda

we first went to portugal in april 2002 for two weeks for the first couple of days we went the old town and by the fourth day into the holiday on are way back from the beach we decided to take a look at portugals famous strip where by luck we stumbled across albertus bar we nipped into the bar for a quick pint where we first met amir who at that time was gillys business partner amir made us that welcome that we sat drinking in the bar for the rest of the day and for most of the night covered in sand and still in are beach wear .we met gilly that evening and he was just as friendly as amir.for the rest of that holiday we went no other bar than albertus because the atmosphere and the manor in which the place was run was brillant from the owners down to the bar staff dj and ticket touts the place was just electric. since 2002 we have been back to alberfeira and albertus bar just over half a dozen times. amir has now took early retirement and is enjoying family life with his beautiful wife and little girl in his native country israel.gilly is still there enjoying himself and still as friendly as ever and making people feel welcome.this bar is a must and must be visited if you are on the strip.
I used to do karaoke here...I miss all you guys sooo much!! This bar is the best!

Albertus the best place in portugal by far gillyyour a star and bruno and ricardo will serve you ypor fave cocktails all night while tony the scouser dj plays all your fave tunes see you all in 12 wks time we cant wait.
A good atmosphere and nice bar to have a laugh in.The bar staff Bruno and Ricardo are nice lads.Tony the best kareoke fella on the strip by far true scouser.Gilly the owner what a laugh you have with him you have that much of a laugh you dont see the time passing .see you soon lads.

Went to Albertus in '04 and spent the whole holiday there - went back in '06 and still spent the whole holiday there!!!
Ricardo and Bruno are fab barman (fancy a game of Kerplunk??), current DJ Tony is a sweetheart and 'tout' Garry is fantastic. The owner Gilly still pops in now and again. Oh and go in the daytime for Angelique's breakfast.

this is a great place to go i seen jamie singing oasis and the staff are great. definatley try it you'll def go back for more
a brilliant bar wiv karaoke every nite make sure u c jamie singin oasis every nite bar staff friendly and cheap beer a must if u r in da algarve
