A summer well spent...I think by Anthony Brown
Reading the post has brought back memories ( albeit it hazy and drink fulled) of my time working there....way back in 2002 or 3. I really can't remember, Kev the DJ was wicked and Jamie was the class clown and a top bloke. Shame I had to leave the island with the guarda civil looking for me. ( A looong story ) being in the wrong place at the wrong time!. The bar is fantastic though and always welcoming, plenty entertainment for the children with the kids dances etc.... then it gets lively for the older generation around 12. I still have fond memories of having to do the full monty on stage on my birthday for a bottle of cheap fizz. It is and has always been the liveliest bar in Las gaviotas. Its well worth heading to cheers in Alcudia after closing as its open till well after 5. Would be cool to hear from any of the old barstaff niki, shep, jamie, kev the french couple or or Auntie carol!! lol
hey der i went 2 alcudia at d end ov august.....was great luvd it n missd it soo much wen i left...! we went to the cheers in las gaviotis which closed at 2 buh stil was a gud lauf down shots wit d barmen....miss danni loads , e was just d best ha , we went 2 d oder cheers pub wit danni twice wich was alot ov fun ! i went wit my fam n my mate came wit us....she luvd ben e was very gd lukin sexi ot ha.....n allica was just d best oh n tony e z e av a job over der next yr ha....e was d manager ! ohye if ny ov d workers dnt memba us....ya prob do by d name ov chicken table...bcos 4 dinner we use ta always gt chicken n allica wud make a holy show ov us goin around 2 every1 sayn ders d chickin table ha gud memorys....ohye n 4 d dj yad memba us by always askin 4 disco lights ta b put on....allica n ben wer deadly dancin 2 it ! i av sum gd pics ov al ov yas...ha gd tme , hpe ta c yas again sum tme , iv onli gt dannis msn addy so if ny1 has ny oda adys 4 ny of d odas n mayb if yas knw if der on myspace r nyting....tanx ! luv n miss yas all x x x oh n i seen a comment askin if cheers opens in october , but no it closes in october n reopens in may....its d sme wit d 2 cheer pubs xxxx

came back from Alcudia end of September....Cheers is fantastic, we had lots of really fun evenings, bar staff are great and remember you!! Barman Danny well what can we say ....................!!!!!!
we have been there three yrs in a row and my kids lurve it. ages 12;9;7 and still think its the place to be. nice food,good tunes. go check it out.

Hi guys, I worked in Alcudia last year n i have to say that cheers was a god send, not a lot of other nightlife there apart from cheers!!! Most of the staff there are awesome, aunty carol luv ya lots!! n My big bro DJ Al!!!! N benny ben ben the Barman v.funny and Rauul the waiter!. food not always that great but lovely friendly atmosphere! Keep it up guys!!!x

I had a brilliant time at this bar, especailly after 12am, its is a really great place to be, everyone who goes there is up for a good time, they play the best update music!!
I got onm really well with Danny the barman, miss him lots, anyone else meet or speek to him when they were at this bar??

Absolutley fantastic place! Great for adults and kids alike...never a dull moment! Going out again in August for the third year running. I am a bit biased tho....if anyones going out there soon, tell Alan the DJ that his mum said turn your fone on!! lol
Two times out of the last 3 years we have had our holiday at hotel continental park in Alcudia and gone to Cheers Bar in playa de muro and had a fab time!!!! Sevi, Katie, Daz and the gang were great with the kids with cartoon heroes etc... we are sad and we did compile a CD off all the favorite songs for our son.
Hope its as good this year - we arrive again on 19th June. Hope to see some of the originals maybe.

Hi there, it is nice to read about cheers and all the wonderful things you are all saying about it. I worked there for 3 years as a barman, possibly some of the best years of my live. It was 1994 opening of cheers, till 1996 season. Hope to ear from some of those years staff and holiday makers(friends). It is a very special place. Special saludos to aunty Carol and Simon.
Well well well, great place, love everyone. Spent some time there last season working in tha Scotts bar next door, always visited cheers for a dance and to chill with Alan tha dj, hope to be there this year or defo next....peace and love....Who tied my dog loose..lol

cheers is a great place to be, wiv ya kids b4 1am and after 1am its a party to go to, good music great staff and wiked light shows to go along wiv the tunes, a wide variety of dance rap r&b hip hop all sorts, dazzy boi the best dj there is, john boy the alcudiaz bad boy numba 1 haha
we were here in june and it was great for the kids and adults! my hubby dressed as spiderman and i won miss cheers 2007 and a bottle of plonk! the atmosphere is great my boys didnt want to leave.aunty carol nearly had heart failure when we set a craze for the t.shirts off.keep up the good work
the bar is mint. great for familys and couples. i loved it x x x

cheers is a top bar for ppl of all ages up until 12 there is loads of entertainment for kids but after that till 5 am it is a great place to party much better than belles which is just full of barmen who are up themselves, but if any1 is plannin to go to alcudia u must must must go to alcudia full of gud lookin lads nd sxc barmen woohoo cant wait to go back nxt season XXX
hi just got back at the weekend - very quiet though - but nice to catch up with everyone.
still not sure if we will go back to work though - the boss has told us our jobs are there if we want them but still not entirely sure yet.
hopefully we will make our minds up over the next few months. will let you know what we are doing.
We still have photos of chloe - fran told us when we were over in may we just missed you - we were gutted.

Just got back from a week in Alcudia. Went to Cheers every night as the entertainment is fantastic and the bar staff are great. My daughter loves it. Been going to Cheers for the last 4 years and we never get bored of it!! LOUISE when are you and Jamie coming back? The place aint the same without you. Hopefully you remember Chloe, she misses you loads!!
we just got home from alcudia, and spent the majority of our nights at the cheers bar , aunty carol, alan and rachel were great hosts for kids and adults alike.
the meals were great and very good value for money, and a special thanks for our wonderful waitress teresa, if we go to alcudia again, we will certainly make our way back to cheers bar .. it doesnt get any better

hi, worked as PR/Entertainer for a while. Although things went wrong its an excellent place. Entertainment excellent and bar staff even friendlier. Miss working there but what happens, happens. Its worth going to because you will be there every night of your holiday.
this place was not a night club there more of shite club come to mind i would go to this night club as its got about 3 ppl in there untill 2 o clock and it wasnt cheap for booze to say the least if your aged 15-30 this NOT the place to go there are two night clubs in the whole thing and u get stared at by the spanish every were thanks byeeeeeeee
Cheers deffo made my holiday! I loved it so much spend most of my 2 weeks in there! Staff are lovely people very helpful and kind! Great entertainment for the kids throughout the day and night! Very Cheap drink and food! Pizza is one of the best, must try it! Would go back, its a wonderful place. x
I worked in cheers for two seasons and loved every minute of it! Didnt go back to alcudia this year - but already been on a 3 week holiday to visit! Spent every night in cheers! it was fab!Even met a few families we knew! Coming over again in October! cant wait to see all the guys again!x
i live here i´m always in cheers not worth going till about half 1 when all the families go then it has proper tunes n shit alan is the best dj they´ve ever had and the bar staff r funny as
hi there we have been to alcudia two years running and have just come back. w spent most of the time in the cheers near the sun village and sam and ben were the entertainers. they were fab with the kids and we had a rally good dhat to the lads, and even got me dressing up as noddy. well worth a visit and weel done lads keep it up, kelly, lee,lauren and ethan
got back in july after 2 weeks in alcudia and went back in august for another week, alcudia is nothing without CHEERS! fantastic place, fantastic staff, fantastic entertainment your kids will love it!!! auntie carol, alan and sam(superman) it wouldnt be the same without you! if you read this jack(superboy) says hello and still plays his cd religiously everyday and dresses in his superman outfit! all he talks about is sam!!!!
Hi i have just come home from Alcudia, went in cheers everynight. I met a waiter there called Juan wish i could of met up with you Juan but it was difficult with having the two children. If you remember who i am, my name is Alison and i came home on suday 12 August 2007. Thanks for the shots you gave us and the ice cream you gave to my little girl.
