Just back from a mad few days with my girlys, OMG what a blast, and this bar and theese lads made it all the better, great entertainers, that went out of their way to sing what ever ye wanted, even when some nutter wnated PINK, yep you heard me PINK.lol Great bar, great staff, just a fab place. Lulu.
lads u have to go to d shamrock i just got back from santa ponsa and its unreal the shamrock is briliant you get some crack there espacially if ur irish they sing al the irish songs live bands every nite and the drink is v cheap you have to there if only for one nite il b back there next year see ye al then lads for another unreal holiday xxxxxx

was in santa ponsa in july , was in the shamrock most nights and the waxies where brill, nothing like them in glasgow got both cds for my son and we listen to them every weekend. big shout out to edwina and stephen from limerick from my son conor (they have even got us watching the hurling on setanta). hoe to meet up with you all next year mon the hoops
Just back from a week in santa..., spent every night in the shamrock, absolutly class, you wont find ne thing like it in Ireland. Daniels corner and Zanza bar at the roundabout are also good. Stayed in the verdemar, got the sea view apartment, def worth the extra 30 snots and dont let any noe tell you otherwise, a lot of drinking done on that balcony looking out over the bay. Goin back next year... *****

went to santa ponsa for a wk wit my sister and her friend and haunted the shamrock every night to see finn and viv sing and take the piss. they were fantastic.

wel wel wel what can i say i was in santa ponsa twice in my life and i must say that they were tha most unbelievable 4 weeks of my life lol mo joke i love tha shamrock bar was unreal, hope to go back to sant ponsa next year, ( ps stayed in tha grand sant ponsa appts good for famileys and young people...)
definitely one of the highlights from our holiday!!!loved the band and they loved us too.....even the keyboard/piano man plays in the voodoo lounge bk home in letterkenny!!!come on the hills of donegal.....shake what yer momma gave ya!!!!
Santa Ponsas best bar by far! the craic is great and everynight the bands, whichever they might be (usually the Waxies and then Small World), they have you in kinks laughing!!! The CDs are a must, I bought 2 waxie cds a few years back n i swear they are still funny now! All the rebel songs, all the county songs, absolutely brilliant! The Shamrock is a must!
Ive been 6 times to santa ponsa now and by the far the best pub in santa ponsa is the shamrock. Even my kids luv it now. Cant wiat to go back end of June this year.Bring it on!!!!

we have been going to santa ponza for a few years now going back in june the best hoiliday to go on the shamrock is one of the best bars to be in along with dicey reileys and the celts well cant wait to june

i was there last july john i was the lad who wore a different county jersey every nite..between diceys and da shamrock i lived there i also done the dance off one night it was the best krac ever...im lookin 4 a bit of work over there! any1 no anywhere to get some...in an irish bar now! u probably new dozy there dat worked in seans place!1

The Shamrock Bar is THE place to go. We had the best holiday EVER last July, all thanks to the shamrock bar! The music and craic was mighty every night. Cant wait to go back nxt year!!! Byeee!!!

Was in Santa from the 25 Aug 4 a week. loved every min, and spent every nite in da shamrock r dicey's, celebrated my birthday in da shamrock was the best birthday i've ever had. the shamrock made it. will def b bck next year.

just back from the ponsa on thursday past, i must admint i never made it to the shamrock bar, but i made it to dicey rileys, and it is a fantastic bar, the hobys and the waxies are two great bands and excellent entertainers, i will definately be going back there. keep on rocking ponsa. "we are here in santa ponsa, we are on the piss with ye', we dont really give a f**k, cos by f**k we will get drunk, cos dicey reillys is the place to be"
The Shamrock bar in santa ponsa is d best pub on earth. The bands are top class and off deyr heads. The atmosphere wen u walk through the door is electric!And they have the hottest bar staff in the town!Its a place EVERYONE should visit wen dey go der!Im only back 2days and Im depressed!OH 2B...OH 2B...OH 2B BACK IN THE SHAMROCK BAR IN SANTA PONSA!!!
I flew back from Santa Ponsa yesterday and it was the most amazing town with the best thing about it being the Shamrock Bar. I'm sitting listening to the Small World CD as I type this and wish I was back there . Loved the staff, drinks measures were decent and the prices were spot on (I managed to get steamin on 35 euros and I'm a Weegie!)
Loved the Pappy Man, the craic from the singers and the fact that you felt so welcome as soon as you walked through the doors! Roll on next year!!
This is John from The Waxies here again. I just want to remind people who wish to go to Santa Ponsa that last year we had some rangers fans from scotland up on stage singing the fields of athenry!they absolutley loved the craic and the irish women and were in the bar every night. I think irish people reserve the right to sing about our history. When defining art, surely there is no better artistic expression than songs defining your history? To think that the bars are some sort of aggressive breeding ground for terrorist organisations is so childish its laughable! Over the years a lot our fans have been english. They seem to be able to listen to the music in context...they love seeing irish culture in all its glory...both the fun songs and the songs about 800 years of repression. If we didnt reflect all the things that makes us what we are as irish today, we'd only be half the people we are.

santa ponca is one of the best holiday centres around i worked ther last yr. most vares are owned my irish "people" not ira members. there are a few spanish owners whoown fama and green hills ets. any intersted in working there just arrive and ask around for a job even if u dont get one. its still worth a hoilday for a few weeks!!and yes the irish do hate the english, espically muppets who leave bias comments about the irish people as a nation! tanx enjoy your holiday
im a huge fan of rangers and i dont care about all the celtic n IRA pish wen i go on holiday i go 2 enjoy myself n gt drunk lol, i was ther in october and it was the night of rangers bratislava game and i went inot an irish pub full of celtic fans and i was wearing my gers top and no-one botherd, i dont think any1 goes on holiday just to be sectarian and spoil other peoples holidays if they do the i suggest they stay at home the sad loosers that they r
shamrock is the best and only place to go in santa ponsa . Aboustly loved the waxies brillant band were there to the end every nite spent the whole 2 weeks in shamrock. Going back this year again bring on the waxies and kilts xoxoxoxo
