I totally agree with Juliet, this place is amazing. Every time I visit Santa Ponsa, this is the first place I go. I have just left after a great weeekend. Food was fantasic and the atmosphere friendly, I could totally relax. I am going out there for a wedding next year, looking to hook up with some hot women.

I went to the Watering Hole on my third night there and fell in love with it. What staff and what food fantastic. This person Mark has gone and the owners are running it themselves. A full sized swimming pool a bar outside with showers to cool down after a lovely swim two steps to the bar and back to the pool side. Hand up and service at the pool side, the bring the fantastic food to you so your sunbathing is not disturbed. I only wish they had rooms to stay I would never have left. I want my Wedding there next year. The rest of Santa Ponsa is also great, but the Watering Hole is a must.

Just returned from Santa Ponsa and have to say the watering hole was a dive , food was the worst i have ever had anywere ,order was wrong when we got it none of the staff cared about the problem even the owner just walked off ,we were not the only people with this problem and to say there was only four tables eating ( well to be honest not eating ) a really bad place , Staff were arguing with each other and owners a like . Proberly the worst place in santa ponsa .

The Watering Hole was defenetly that water leaking in all over due to the rain we had while in santa ponsa was like been in steptoes buckets all over ,nobody had a clue what was happening just kept pouring in. Food was very poor ,portions were small and expensive ,no draft beer on tap was very dissapointed with this bar . Staff were very abrupt and impolite and the owners were clueless as to customers needs . Plenty of bars in santa ponsa to have a drink in were your trade will be appreciated .

Dont know anything about a mark. He was not anywhere to be seen. Owner and staff were great service was very good as was the food and portions. Alan asked for lamb which not on the menu the next night it was waiting for him and was cooked just the way that he had requested. It was early April and not over busy but compaired to other places that we tried was one of the best. Crocodillos was very good but pricey. Good luck to owner and all the staff hope you all have a great season see you in September.

Visited the watering hole on our second night we went for a meal half of the menu was not avaliable and what we evetually got was utter rubbish , was under cooked and tepid ,was taken back and heated up ( microwave ) portions were small, there was no body else in and service was a disgrace ( i now know why nobody else was in ) nobody appeared to give a hoot, i think the owner was the old man sat in the corner on a laptop or something like that , never lifted a eyebrow need i say more should be renamed the shit hole try the italian two doors up fantastic food

Just landed 3 hours ago after having spent 2 weeks in santa ponsa,what I have read about watering hole does not justify it at all. The food I will agree with whikst I was there it was basicly crap............note get a new cook on days,breakfast was awful undercooked and greasy. Spoke to the owners who are such lovely people will bend over backwards to help you.staff,yes young girls,like any young girls they need pushing now and then. Never saw the owners raise there voice once at staff. The Manager.................STRESSED.................must be hard ordering staff around when you are drinking coffe all the time.........yes Mark I am that bloke who bought you a coffee last Tuesday.........remember me 117 hours a week you worked you told me......................wish I had a job like yours. All in all change day cook change manager change one or two staff and thus good bar will be an excellent bar

I have to say i agree with mr jarvis, they should take the first part of the name away and just call it Hole because thats what it is. Although i have to admit staff were very friendly and welcoming i could see they were rushed of there feet, tall bloke in there was a nice guy and helpfully but seemed stressed, the food was ok nothing special and has for mr dixons comment crocodillios does not have a P.R. person as they do not need one as the food atmosphere and all round service was excellent. I think the watering hole needs a new image and the to old people that apparently own the place need to have a look in the mirror as when i was there, they were shouting at staff and thats very unprofesional. There´s better places to go in santa ponsa

Just come back from santa ponsa , had a brilliant time spent every day at the watering hole with my family . round the pool in the day food and drink avalable all the time children safe fantastic place great staff and the manager mark a straight talking yorkshire man great place great food cant wait to go back thanks for making our holiday john and family

I tend to agree slightly with Mike Jarvis,but not wholly,I think the standards of staff and cleanliness has dropped.I ate there twice last week and both times my order was wrong,dont get me wrong the food was lovely but not what I ordered,I wanted chips got mash,wanted steak pie got steak that is after waiting 10 mins before a waitress decided to serve me,2 tables on the terrace with people on total amount of people 7 total amount of staff behind bar 4.I got the feeling that I was an annoyance being there rather than being a paying customer.we are coming back again in 3 weeks with some friends but because of this bad experience I am afraid we will not be visiting this bar again which is a shame as we use to always visit it the 3 or 4 times a year we come here. Note to the owner or manager who I have never seen,take heed of these reviews some people will read them and take them as gospel which will look bad on your business.There are a lot of bars in Santa Ponsa....need I say more

What a Load of crap from Jarvis,must be the new PR for Crocadillos. I spend 3 months of the year in Santa Ponca,I know Mark he is not a bully he is from Barnsley,you name me any bullies from Barnsley they cant puch themselves out of a paper bag............haha sorry Mark. The food is excellent,have eaten there many times,portion size.......not a problem,if you want a bir extra,ASK I am sure they will not mind. Food standards are excellent in my eyes they must have the best chef in Santa Ponca.........you owe me a pint Tel haha. All in allgreat BRITISH bar with great BRITISH food,,,not many of them on the strip

The watering hole in santa ponca has the worst atmosphere i have ever seen in a bar abroad, the staff were very polite and helpfull but me and my family felt that the so called manager... i think mark was his name was a bully to the girls and very rude to staff. also the food was not the best and the portions we very small compared to other places for instance crocodillios food was great and the portions were huge what we paid in crocodillios we paid for a bowl of chips in the watering hole. i would not recommend this pub at all

Stayed at Juglandia apartments for two weeks in September Elaine who is a member of bar staff here recomende the Watering hole as her husband Terry is the chef there and that it is great food,she was not wrong,six of us ate ther every nite and the food was fantastic.will be coming back to juglandia next year and of course the watering hole..............message to Tel...keep them watering hole burgers coming.they are BRILL...............Now my hubby says his steaks are the best.are well only 345 days to go..........keep up the great food food xx

The watering hole is in Santa Ponsa and not London Pete,I went there last week for breakfast did not rate it very much found the Irish bars do it better,BUT did go back at night............FIVE nights in fact with my husband and children,the kids had the usual nuggets my husband went through the menu and I stuck with the Santa ponsa chicken watering hole burgers apart from the last night when I had the best steak ever a credit to the manager of this bar who I think is Mark and specially Tel the Chef for his superb food will definatly be going here next year........if the same night team are on
