I was in Uganda for 3 1/2 years from 1997 to 2000. The bar and restaurant next door were almost a second home for the last couple of years, some great gigs and fantastic people, well worth a visit.
Just kicking is the the place to be. If u havent checked out the place, make sure you do check out the place now! ( From Sunny)
Just Kicking - what shall I say? It is simply a must. After almost two years in Uganda, I have come to the conclusion that (as an expatriate) one can make real friends only in few places. Just Kicking definitely belongs to it.
However, even if you are only in Kampala for a short period of time, it is definitely worth to go there. You can have a cold beer, great food (from finger food to a full size meal) for an adequte price and if you want you can watch any kind of sports on one of the several TV sets.
If you go to JK, please say hello to the owners (esp. Charlie) from me!
Cheers,
Torsten

I spent 2.5 years in Uganda 1999 - 2001 and most of that time was propping up the bar at Just Kicking, had a great time with a good bunch of open minded well traveled people. At the time it was the only bar to go to..
Only sports bar in Kampala. Kicks on weekends for Premier league football and international rugby.
