I have just returned from Uganda and once again, Bubbles was on top form. I was with a group of friends this year and between us we managed to cover the DJ-ing, the live music and also raise merry-hell. A great place to go and Nigel the owner is a great laugh.

What shall I say? It is a must. Full stop! Wednesdays and Fridays, one just has to be there. It took me almost a year to discover that place (shame on me!) but since then I was witnessing a growing crowd on Fridays. When I left Uganda, it Bubbles O'Learys one just met everyone there. It was the place to be and I am sure it still is and I am looking forward to going there again! Cheers, Torsten

This bar is a must. It seems to have become the new 'Just Kicking', with large gatherings; especially at the weeknd. They do a good range of pub food, music and an even better mix of people. When I was last in Kampala, it was a regular haunt; throwing up the usual variety of interesting characters. My best mate and I did some impressive damage to their stocks of Bell Lager and had a brilliant time. Highlights were the nights of air-guitar and drinking with some guy who we decided was David Bellamy. When it closes; it's full steam to Rouge, to finish the night. We'll be asking the minicab to head straight there from Entebbe airport this coming April.
