Pretty awful by Opal Undevines
I'm usually pretty open minded when it comes to food- hand it to me and I'll eat it, but the service at this place was simply horrible. Our waiter seemed dazed or on drugs- it was hard to tell because he only showed up a couple of times and then dissapeared for long intervals. Aside from sloshing my boyfriend's drink all over the table and NEVER asking anyone for a refil, he charged him twice for his meal (we were charged both 14.80 and 17.50 for the same meal???). Also, our friend handed the waiter a 20 dollar bill for his 9$ tab. He got 4 dollars in change. Apparently on the right drugs 20-9=4.
This place sucks. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else instead. A bum on 6th street would make a better waiter.
This "bar" is horrible. The drinks are weak and over priced. The bar was pretty empty (10 people on a Saturday night??) and the people who DO go certainly arn't the type you would want to talk to. They, however, were a step up from the severly lacking staff. The service at the Congress location is HORRIBLE! I've never seen slower bartenders in my life. It's like they don't WANT your tips or patronage.
Avoid this place at all costs...your better off going to Taco Cabana and drinking crappy wine margaritas!
You go girl!! That's not surprising to after visiting the new location on S.Congress. While I wasn't sexually harrased, it's obvious that the staff there is in need of a morale boost. They were understaffed and the service was very slow. The waitress never introduced herself, by the time we got water, it was 1/2 hour into it. I had to go into the bar to get a second glass of wine becuase she was too slow. My burger came back wrong and she got a little defensive about it. And last, they advertise a shaker of Margarita's that suppose to be equivilent to two for $12.00. It's no where near that. They are in small Martini glasses. My guest was no impressed. All in all, I'm not going back.
If you add this up to the woman that was harassed and still go there. What happens after that is your problem.
I was sexually harrassed by dart playing patrons at the 6th and Rio Gande location. Consequently, I was "cut off". I had consumed 5 beers in a four hour period. I am quite dissapointed that the staff did not stand up for a patron that had caused no problems and had constantly fed money to the jukebox and quietly consumed a few beers. I'm pretty sure that this is a case of favoritism toward some pathetic drunks who were pissed that I wasn't the type to oblige toward thier advances. I'm quite dissapointed in this establishment, and I , and anyone else I know will not be spending any money here ever again.

Best pub/beergarten in Austin...good variety of Texas and world brews on tap and bottled. Good pub grub, too. All ages, but only 21 and over can drink. Perfect spot for backpackers...outdoor veranda downstairs and upstairs with heaps of seating. Darts
