Quilmes by keef oz
An typical lager beer with average taste - not to my taste or style as lacks depth of flavour. OK to try but not to rave about!
I see the point of many saying its light and missing what some people like to call a serious beer taste, but at the same time it was perfect with a ceviche and parillada, as it didn't have a strong taste to overpower the subleties of what I was eating.
Not great, but it's a cheap way to get buzzed.
absolutely fantastic
Very watery and almost without any flavour of good beer.

Why is quilmes like having sex in a canoe? Because its f*cking close to water! Really not a fan of this one - its watery, tastless and completely generic. Just have the wine.
creepy taste!... this is not a beer, its rice malt, really, i´ve used to worked there... wake up!...
This is a very casual beer with no real benefits, your "Average Joe" beer if you'd like. Good for frat parties and getting drunk and bladder abusive I guess, but isn't quality drinking with it's very casual taste.
I don't like Quilmes, and I'm from Argentina, I think its overrated because its one of the oldest trademarks over here. It's watery and doesnt have a good taste, and has too much alcohol %. There are better beers in Argentina, besides the imported ones.
Quilmes made an anniversary version of their beer, and it tasted pretty different. It was a good beer indeed! But the regular Quilmes is pretty bad for my taste.
Good beer, great adds!
Being an Argentinian living in Canada and not being a great "beer lover" I find this beer is good and cheap enough. Plus, their adds are simply brilliant.
Still wondering what will these guys come up to with this year's FIFA World Cup (2006 - Germany). Looking forward to watch that!!!!
Keep it up!
Quilmes is the most popular beer in Argentina, but that doesnt mean its the best one. It used to be better some years ago, unfortunatly I think its flavour became worst when they became extremly massive. its not a very smooth beer, but its very light, refreshing and cheap.
In the Quilmes premium segment there are two good beers: Iguana (another local beer), and Stella Artois (originaly belgian but localy manufacturated by quilmes)From the popular/massive beers I rather Isenbeck and schneider than Quilmes, and from premium the german Warsteiner ( manufacturated in Arg by Isenbeck) or Iguana.
the best beer in south america thus far! being a fair dinkim aussie i love my beer, and i have been searching for almost 2 months for a good ale to quench my thirst. at last i find quilmes. there are a few cheaper immotators (isenbeck) and a couple that are pretty close in contension (iguana) but for me QUILMES is the champion of Argentina beers.
I first read about Quilmes in a 1930's Latin American cookbook written by "The Browns"... (Cora, Rose and Bob). They were very happy with the "Quilmes Cristal right from the keg" served at an outdoor Parrillada.
To my surprise, I found it in my local store. Thank You for exporting it to we undeserving Americans: Quilmes is now my favorite beer. Crisp, light, refreshing and with the unmistakable 'finish' of a seriously well-brewed beer, I now order it by the case.
Not bad but lacks bite for me (personal taste though).
It always seems a shame to be drinking beer in a country with such great wines as Argentina, but sometimes a beer is what's needed. I have spent many a happy evening in Salta, sitting by the square with a 1 litre bottle of Quilmes and a plate of assorted empanadas. Creamy smooth, not too gassy and super cheap. The perfect way to start the evening.
the only beer in the world that i will voluntarily drink or ask for before any other drink
Me gusta el Quilmesh
Refreshing one, delicius when the the heat is up.
