By far the best beer I drank while in Australia.( and I drank many) Right up there with other dark beers from around the world.
Probably the best beer in all of Australia in my humble opinion.
I've only had Tooheys Old on tap but it would be one more reason to go back to Australia for another visit. I'd have to say one of my favorite beers. For a dark beer, it is very smooth and not over powering.
Something of an acquired taste, like many dark beers, but pretty good. Still amazes me that the Aussies brew next to nothing between their common or garden-variety lagers and stuff like this (or the legendary Dogbolter) which are basically stout/porter style dark beer. Very strongly roasty, not much in the way of maltiness. Will do strange things to your innards after over-indulging, though...
Great easy-drinking stout. Like many stouts, noticeably better on tap than prepacked. Like many stouts, will bog up your guts if you over-indulge... but probably worth it. Tooheys doesn't do much right, but they do this one right.
Great beer!!! Traveled a lot of places and to sit in pub Sydney or Brisbane drinking a Tooheys Old is one of the ultimate experiences.
toohey's old. One of my favorite beers Dark-easy to drink ale. Excellent with a $5 countermeal roast at an australian pub. Not good out of a can/tin. Stubbies/bottles or on tap is highly recommended.
