I give this beer a 9( in fact 9,5) because 10 stands for perfection and perfection can only be God's work... But the monks of Westvleteren are doing al they can to bring heaven on earth... The 12 will be available on 10/10 again. For more information contact the "biertelefoon" of the abbey on + 32 57 40 10 57 ( only in dutch and french) Santé!
Defenitely the best beer on this planet!
But unfortunately sold out, the fathers from the Westvleteren abbey don't have any resources anymore to produce more of this beer for this year, they won't increase the capacity for next years to keep the beer at it's best condition. SO IF YOU SEE A WESTVLETEREN 12.... BY IT AND TELL ME!!!
An excellent beer but it is not flavored. This is a strong ale that is 10-11% alcohol that is a nice dark amber color. It is nutty and complex and is made by the smallest trappist brewery.
