It was a pleasure to know and drink this beer. The color and taste was wonderfull. I can tell about it because I already tasted a lot of beer brands around the world.
I really recommend to taste it.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Candy in a bottle
GREAT SUMMER BEER.HAVE IT ON TAP AT HOME !
Never had a white beer b4, was introduced by a lady bartender, tried it and finished up 3 pint in a row.
Wow ... this is one hella smooth beer i ever tasted. Abit fruity and waterred, but the after taste is nice. Great for ladies and would try it with fish or something in the future... and yah .. with lime too. I give it a 7 due to the price and the volume i need to take in order to match my current Skoll.
The finest beer there is for me, best drank on a hot day though you can enjoy it any time.
If you add a slice of lime before you pour adds a little taste, but it doesnt really need it..
Hoegaarden voor de winst :)
This beer tastes like someone drank a Stella, ate some fruit, puked it up and bottled it.
When poured correctly (yes, I've scolded unknowing bartenders for not knowing how to pour this brew) is absolutely wonderful. I've never had it with any sort of fruit added to it as it doesn't need it. Beautiful lemon color, a georgous pour, about 2 fingers of head and the smell is complete heaven.
If you drink this beer from the bottle then you should be slapped for not reading your bottle first.
It is not a beer, beer don't go with lemon and that's it!
Rating this beer a 10 is an understatement. I am actually considering moving to Belgium just so I can be assured of a constant supply of this nectar of the gods. It is truly incredible.
Hoegaarden is a really nice white beer. Though I have had some better whites beers, such as the german Hacker Pschorr. I really like the light taste, be sure to add a piece of lemon or lime.
The best I have had.Had a lot of beer in my lifetime and I consider this the best I have ever had. I do not drink beer very often because up to this time I haven't really found one that had the taste that I liked. This is it. By the way I am over 60 years old and am a Navy veteren so I have been to a few bars in my life, US and abroad.
This is my favorite beer! The first time I had it was in Quebec 3 years ago and when I went back to Quebec this year for winter carnival I finally got to have it again. Amazingly a eatery outside of Atlanta, GA has 250 beers on tap and THANK GOD they had it too! I wish that I could find a place in Maine where they have it on tap!!!!! This beer kicks!
waterd down. tasteless. should have deserved a 1 but given a 3 for it going down smoothly and tasty cream. girls will like it for its light taste. not one for man
A great wheet beer almost as good as Fransizkaner (Munich)
I used to bartend at TGIFridays outside Chicago and we had this on tap. The manufaturer insists you have to drink it out of a glass not a bottle. It is my favorite beer by far. I am not a beer person, but when I do drink it Hoegaarden is what I want. The recipe is over 500 years old. To have that kind of lasting power it has to be good.
Tried and loved it. My friend bought me a pint when I got to the London airport. Wish I could find it in California!
A bitter taste in my Hoegaarden: Sadly Inbev the brewers of Hoegaarden are moving production out of the town of Hoegaarden to a more modern production facility. This move shows Inbev's lack of respect for local beer brewing culture and traditions. Show your support for real beer culture by boycotting all inbev beers.
A ten lightly describes the refreshign taste of this beglian white, never drink warm, buy a six pack, stick it in your freezer for an hour, and it'll be the best tasting beer to tantalize your taste buds. Definately most enjoyable ona hot summer day
Yes, I am a total pothead........but once in a while I overdoze on some fine beers.......I do not drink anything shaity....but Hoegaarden is a great, smoooth beer, that is astonishingly calm/ agreeable, and devoid of any bitter aftertaste......especialy when served with some "lazy lemon" or some "sicilia" lime extract.....
I am a creature of habit and pleasure....Hoegaarden is one of the best/ purest beers I can get my little gullumy hands on here in this crappy country ....
have a good one bros!!!!

I don't know what all the hype is about. I just tried A Hoegaarden for the first time. It tasted watered down and weak. I don't know if I got a bad bottle or what, but it was pretty tasteless.
Awsome beer, excellent texture and is complemented by it's unique zest of orange peel and coriander! Cheers.
I've been drinking Hoegaarden for a few years and have tried it both in Canada and Belgium. I've tried the Grand Cru, Julius and Fruit Defendu kinds and I can say that in all its forms, this is one of the best beers out there. Its delicious aroma and taste are truefly refreshing. Definitely recommend it.
Hoegaarden for the first time, served in an ice cooled glass, slice of lemon or lime, no bitter aftertaste…gorgeous. Everything else is just beer, alas, only 9/10 as it wasn’t free.
A one is definately generous. This beer smells, and worse, tastes like raw hot dog weiners. It is the worst beer I've ever drank, and even a lemon won't help.
I only dont give this beer a 10 because it POSSIBLE that there is SUMWERE a better brew.Maybe. i havent tried it.Hoegarden witbier is Mad expensive in australia, but its THE goods mate.the boys rekons its like a beer smoothie. Im drinking one RIGHT NOW.if u dont know already, TRY IT!
I am very picky about my beers and generally enjoy a far darker beer, but since arriving in England it has quickly become my favorite beer by far. It has a taste that you just cant compare to anything else. Being an American this is far and away better then anything you can get in the states. (But that doesnt take much)
An excellent choice of fine beer. Refreshing to the point of intoxication. Served slightly chilled allows the yeast to have a party in your mouth. A must for every individual of class to enjoy. Cheers.
This is my absolute favorite beer. It tastes best out of a keg and can be quite expensive. Even the foam tastes good, very creamy. I was hesitant at first, because I've tried other wheat beers and haven't been impressed. This beer is quite refreshing and goes down smoothly.
Spent a day in Brussels and tried Hoegaarden for the first time. It was ice cold, had a pale colour and was served in a pint glass with a slice of lemon. It was so gorgeous with its citrusy taste that I quaffed my girlfriends pint too.
My favorite beer!
There is no bitter aftertaste, and it's really good.
Served in an ice cooled glass, and a slice of lime or lemon, it's a very refreshing beer.
An OUTSTANDING brew. I have a few of them in me while I write this. Very easy on the palate, and extremely good tasting. High alcohol content is a plus, too.
the best beer ever, made it.I can count my self the lucky one for drinking this nectar of gods
The first time I tried it I was in Paris and after two days I was madly looking for it in Antwerpen! Definetly a great beer... the best for summer!!!!
I had it this weekend for the first time and I loved it.Its up there with my favorite beers, will definitely pass it on and order some more
Unusual but refreshing, nice after a hard days work, first time i have tried it and will pass it on to my friends
Got to taste this abt a yr back...and it is easily the best beer around...nothing else comes close.
The Best beer ever, it's medicinal, stick a lump of fruit in it and hey presto, all your vitimine C for the day!!! I'd sell my family for more!!!
I lived in northern Belgium for several years working as a Harley mechanic and, as you might expect, spent quite a bit of time in the local cafes. Though I tried many of the huge number of beers and ales available in Belgium, Hoegaarden quickly became my favorite after work pint. Cheers. Dr.Tramp
I've been introduced to this beer 8 months ago and I also have to agree it is one of the best liguid lunches out there. It is great with steak or a fish dinner.
Oi! get your facts right... Hoegaarden is brewed in Hoegaarden. and that's it. it is the only wheat beer that is so aromatic and citrussy. That sets it apart from all the other ones (munich type e.g. franziskaner). you just can't compare it to anything out there really.
