Kokanee cool glacier beer by kokaneephile
I have traveled around thw world quite a bit had French, British, Japanese and Canadian and i love my kokanee it is soft on smell but the flavour is clean and sharp with a nice mellow after taste.
I really love when its icy cold its really sharp and just makes my day. Anyways Kokanee lover for life
Kokanee is to beer what menthol is to cigarettes. This beer just slams that hated pine-sol, Beefeaters, bathroom clenser, windex, toilet bowl sanitizer flavour down your throaght. This beer has no aroma and no hit of any resemblance to real been minus the alcohol content listed on the exterior of the can. the worst thing of all is that given all the fore mentioned.. I still have five left... oh what will I do?.. I could take a giant &^$% on 3 and clean it with the remaining 2.
i think labatt has fallen flat with this brew! it is pretty bland - and does not have a lot of character.
You must be kidding, I think the brewers of Kokanee are bottling the glacier and have forgotten all the other steps, like adding malt and hops and the fermenting process. Like the old Blue Light ads claimed, if I wanted water I would of asked for water. Oh my God, I just visited the Kokanee site and see that they have a light version. LOL what is light water? C’mon kids go out right now and grab some beer with flavour, try one that’ll wake up your taste buds. Pick up some Upper Canada Lager, or Sleemans, even the economical Bohemian (Boh) something, anything that will expand your beer horizons. Work your way up to British, and European beers. Be adventurous, your Kokanee will pale in comparison I swear. If not you may find out that you are an American Beer lover after all. Cheers all. Billy P
I was lucky enough to find this lager when i spent 6m in canada. I ADORE it. It is without doubt the finest lager i have ever tasted. And this comes from somebody who lived in Germany for 2 years.
.....now imagine yourself making beer from that glacier and drinking it ice cold. The most refreshing beer I have ever had.
