In comparison with the rest of the yellow beer in Chile, Escudo definitely has an edge: it manages to have a taste rather than just be cold and wet unlike most of the opposition. It is a bit stronger than most of the others but if travellers from England remember that, they can adjust accordingly - or not, depending on their needs at the time. Most Chilean lagers, with perhaps the exception of Becker (smooth) tend to be fizzy pop much like the worst stuff brewed in Britain. If you want yellow beer, Escudo does the job and won't bloat you within 3 cans.
