I had Imperial Beer while vacationing in Costa Rica, it tasted fine, but it gave me nasty headaches! No beer has ever given me headaches like that before!
good beer, drank it for a week straight while i was in costa rica.. i would rather my molson but imerial is the beer of choice down there.. almost tatsed to watered down but good beer overall
ONE OF MY FAVORITE BEERS IS IMPERIAL, MOSTLY FOR THE MEMORIES IT BRING BACK TO ME, AND THE FACT THAT I AM FROM COSTA RICA....ONLY PROBLEM IS FINDING A BEER DISTIBUTOR THAT SELLS IT IN NEW YORK CITY AREA.

John, Imperial is dirt dirt cheap, my local liquor store sells it for 2,000 colones about $4ish for 8 pint cans or 12 bottles, or 3 1 litre bottles, pretty gd deals i have to say, although im such a regular now i get it even cheaper!
LOVE THIS STUFF!! Currently spending a year living in Costa Rica as part fo a University placement from the UK. I love it so much that im booked in to get the logo tattooed on ma back next week!! Best beer in the world no question! Got a cheeky six pack on the go now, even though it is 11am on a wednesday monring! Ah well its just tooo good!

I feel in love with Imperial while I was in Costa Rica!! I had at least 2 or 3 my whole trip!!! I want to try and find a place to buy it here in the states!
I buy imperial beer online at www.ticoshopping. It ends up costing arround $3.00 each including shipping (on a 12-pack) , my experience says it is a trustable site.

This beer is great, I tasted it for the time last night after a long and exhausting search to order it for my girlfriend, who loved it on her trip in Cost Rica. But point is I found it in the states and it is almost as good as my girl described. It can be found, just search long and hard and youll find it, but I would be doing you a diservice if I disclosed the site, as you would miss the exciting journey to find it. Pura Vida!!!!!!!!!!

This beer is everywhere in Costa Rica and it is pretty good but if you want something better go with the Bavaria gold or a Bavaria Negra if you like dark beer

I spent the month of June ('06) in Costa Rica and the highlight of my day was dinnertime when I could drink an Imperial. It is by far the best beer I have evey had. I enjoyed Imperial even more than the monkeys, volcanos, or waterfalls ; )
I made it my mission to find it in my hometown (Pensacola) when I got home and have done so. They order some occasionally at Richies downtown and can't keep it on the shelves. They are special ordering me some and it will be in Tuesday. The distributor is in South Florida. If you talk to your local liquor store, it is possible, and even easy, to get in the US .

Lightweight class. Pilsen's got a bigger kick and taste's better. Best consumed in "un vaso con hielo" (a glass with ice) on the beach.
Several months ago on a hot day in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the Cafe Tortoni, I experienced the best beer I've ever tasted. Looking at someones table I noticed a large bottle of Imperial Beer and decided to order one. Man after several sips I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. I pounded down several more and became a real fan of Imperial. Now here's the big problem, I can't get it delivered to Georgia. I guess I'll have to go to Costa Rica or have Burt Reynolds make a run to California.
Imperial sucks. Budweiser is better than that cheap trash.
im going to CR in July. I can't wait to drink Imperial. I saw that someone said you can buy it in SUmmit, NJ. Where is the place? I would drive across the bridge to get some.
What can I say that hasn't already been said? Imperial is a delicious beer. It's perfect for any occasion while visiting Costa Rica. I enjoyed it most with dinner, after a day of hiking in the hot Costa Rican.

Just got back from Costa Rica, and this is my new favorite beer. Great flavor, great color, good body, just damn delicious!
we don't all make 10 to 15 bucks a day!! some make 1 a year hahaha no, really there are some peeps here with good moneys XD. and yeah Imperial rocks and kicks bud's ass by far
Alex, Let's get real here. Costa Rica is a country where people make $10-$15 a day. A $1. beer therefore is not cheap. Besides, you are a minority here. Most people like Imperial beer. If you don't like it that's ok. But don't run us down cause we like it.
And it can be purchased in the US. I bought 2 six packs in Summit NJ yeaterday.
I rate this beer with a 10 because is the best beer ever, but the way where we can get some more, please tell me!!
Alex, a $1 beer in a country where people only make $10 to $15 a day is not a cheep beer. You are certainly in a minority by not liking Imperial. "Pura Birro Imperial"

Wow. has anyone on here ever had a beer before drinking Imperial?? I enjoyed Costa Rica and everything, but come on, that beer is absolute GARBAGE!!! Pilsen too! The only decent line of beer there is Bavaria, and the best thing i would liken that to is Amber Bock. To everyone out there that though Imperial was good.... Please, try not to let your enthusiam for a $1 beer cloud your judgment and apply the label of "good beer" to that tripe!

This sh*t tastes like it was wrung out of a green sponge that sat in a bucket of water used to wash clothes. It has a "natural" flavor similar to eating a tasty plate of cork. Only saving grace would be to eat an entire lime w/each swill. God forbid you try and drink it warm........you'll immediately ask to be baptized Mormon. Danger! Danger! Danger!
