As somebody who goes to Croatia every summer, I would have to say that in the past 5 years, Ožujsko is the best bear Croatia has to offer.
A friend sent a container on a boat from Ploče, Croatia to New York. I gave him some money so that I could send some stuff on the same container. I sent over 9 small crates, each with 16 half liter bottles of ožujsko.
Best beer ever that I have tasted. I would pay anything for this beer here in Australia if it was ever available. Karlovacko is ok.....Ozujsko rules
this beer is amazing! why can i not get hold of it over here? we drank so much of this stuff while watching world cup 2006 while on holiday in Dubrovnik!
I spent some time in Dubrovnik and came across the lasko pivo. I was considered a god amongst friends over there. They had never seen someone put down the goods as much as I did in those couple weeks. Now I am back in the states and can not find it anywhere. There has got to be an easier way of getting it here than a suitcase.
Best beer in Hrvatska - marginally better than Karlavacko. Can't understand the drivel about Karlavacko being that much better as the taste is not that much different.
Does anyone know if this can be bought in the UK ?
Nectar of the gods! Plus it makes you stronger and more sexy. Best beer in Croatia by far.
Ozujsko, difficult to promounce, but what a beer! Great taste, refreshing and with character. And it passed my hangover test: no signs of headacke, even when I pased the single digit in units. More, more, more !
Everything I want in a beer. Had some in Zagreb in October '05 and have been trying to find if its imported to the US ever since.
If anyone knows the answer please let me know by posting on this site.

For a beer in a country not noted for beer, this beer rocked. It is the only beer my wife will drink, and now I am home and without it. I too have searched for ways to import it into America. Anyone have any luck?
Worst beer ever! Karlovako is ten times better than that "beer". I was about to puke when i tasted it!
Nice beer, not as nice as Lasko Pivo (Zlatarog) though. Easiest way to import it is to fly to Dubrovnik with empty suitcases!
