Review from Anthony Breen by Tony Breen
So much better than the American imitation that it is a joke.
In short, if you drink a single real Budvar-you will urinate a better brew than the American alternative
Nice Shane. This is some more great Czech beer. Just think, in a Prague supermarket like the albert or tesco you cna get a carry out of enough of these bad boys, aswell as Staro and Pilsner, and have a whale of a time for aboot a tenner. Marvellous.
This beer has been a shock to me, I am a great stout lover and am currently enjoying guinness, this has been my favorite for a long time although it does not go well with a curry. But one day I was having a curry and decided to order a budwiser (USA) but I got a straing bottle instead, it said Budwiser and Budvar I tryed it and was shocked to find it tasted great, much better than the american rubbish, from now on it is on a parr with my guinness and thats where it will stay, I recomend anyone who comes across it should try it.
I'm a fan of the stouts and light beers...my favorites for at least a year have been Guiness and Sam Adams Light. But after traveling to Prague, Czech Repub, I think I've found my new favorite, Budweiser Budvar! It's just as refreshing as the Belgium Hoegaarden white ale, but has a flavor that puts the American Budweiser to shame. Prior to going to Prague, I was told the Pilzner and Budweiser are a must try, but of the beers that I've had in the States, Sicily, England, and Prague, Budweiser Budvar tops them all. Best of all...a pint costs approximately $1 U.S. dollar.
