Love english beers especially those local brews. I thought Staropraman (also a Czech beer) was very good until i tasted Krusovice and there is no doubt that Krusovice is the best. Czech people rate Urquell but Krusovice is the best.
Add to my previous comment. i am talking about Krusovice light beer not their dark beer.
I have lived over seven years in Europe and have had the opportunity to taste many fine beers. Fortunately, I stumbled on this beer last year at two different favorite restaurants in Frankfurt. It is so well balanced, so smooth, so full of flavor. It is my favorite of the many fine beers I love. I always look forward to having the opportunity of drinking it again! Cheers!
Krusovice dark - best ale I've ever had. Don't bother with the cans or bottles though - you need draught here. If you're in Prague get it at the C14th Bar on Opatovicka; they keep a fine pint (well, half litre) in there.
Excellent. A local premium grocery store carries a couple hundred high-class German, Czech, British, Dutch, Danish, Irish, etc. beers, and this is the best!
There is just nothing like an ice-cold glass of Krusovice Cerne after a long day of work... or instead of it!!!
PS canned seems to be better than bottled, although that may be due to a longer shelf-life only.
ladies and gentlemen,
the bottom line on k. it is a 10. stick with the dark.truly the beer of kings or as i refer to it the nectar of the gods. i have sampled beer from across europe to seattle to kc to nj and philly. the big k is one step ahead of alaskan amber, pyramid hefeweizen, and boulevard wheat.
thanks
The beer is great, not gassy, smooth and nice taste.
If it made u sick u must be a light weight, its only 3.8%!!
Best beer i have ever had. 10 days in Prague and 4 in Hungary and i couldnt find a better beer. I was more than willing to try any that were put in front of me, but none could match the flavor, texture, consistency and pure joy of drinking Krusovice. I have travelled somewhat through Europe and sampled hundreds of beers throughout the states and Krusovice remains my favorite. Nothing beats a cold refreshing Krusovice after strolling the streets of Prague. As for the rating of 1 I think it must be due to the fact you cant handle your ales.
Sorry guys. 10 nights out I have had in Prague in 2005 and 2 nights I have drunk Krusowice. Two nights I have thrown up. First time, thought maybe this was a one off but second time I realised it must be the beer I was drinking... that goddamn Kruswice. Lol, either that or I just cant take my ale. Either way, I didnt enjoy this beer at all.
went to prague and tasted the best beer i have ever tasted which is the Krusovice with the gold label on the bottle. best beer I'VE EVER TASTED
The best black beer I never had tested. Highly recommended.
Sublime et subtil, aucune amertume, grillé délicat.
In beer I believe.

My favorite beer. I sampled many in Czech republic while I was there for 5 weeks. I kept coming back for more of K. Velvet was also delicious, but almost wasnt like drinking beer. K is smooth, not too sweet and not at all bitter.
I've tasted a few brew the world 'round, from Keystone Light to a fine Munich Augustiner, and Krusovice is the best I've had. Anywhere. Ever. I found it in Dresden, Germany and savored it's heavenly suds all the way through the Czech Republic. Drink this beer! The dark is my favorite.
MMM good dark beer, tastes remarkably close to Westmalle Trappiste (Belgian beer brewed by monks). :)
Have travelled alot around Europe and have not tasted a finer beer, a credit to its inventors. I continue to travel back to Prague as I feel that they are by far the best range of beers in the world
Krusovice dark beeer 0,5l
