The best beer in Finland. Most of the rest are more or less bad, with some exceptions (Sininen IMO). I like british ale and more or less all central european beers, but still, in this distinguished company, Lapin Kulta is my favorite. It is light, but still very aromatic and gets better every glass.

This is awful beer. Most Finnish beer is relatively tasteless, but only Lapin Kulta actually tastes bad. The Finns themselves call it poron kusi, referring to that other kind of gold of Lapland produced by reindeer... When in Finland I prefer Karjala or one of the dark beers such as Koff Porter - but I would seriously prefer staying sober to drinking this.

Hell no! Lapin Kulta is the second worst beer in Finland, the two best are Karhu and koff

Pretty mild tasting mass produced beer, but better than most finish beers. Lapin Kulta should be drank cold! It tastes horrible when warm...

I live in Australia and most of the time I enjoy a Victoria Bitter or two,but whenever I get back to Sweden to visit family and friends Lapin Kulta is the my beer.Of course both of them are big mass produced brands but still well above the average.Just compare it to a Budweiser...We also have to remember that a beer isn't a beer.A Stout shouldn't be compared to a Pilsener. My favourite type is the Bavarian Weissbier, but last week I tried a Zlatopramen from the Czech Republic.Rating : 8

I lived in Finland for about a year playing pro basketball. I enjoyed Lapin Kulta, but when I went out I regularly drank Karhu IV. Lapin Kulta almost has an off-Budweiser taste. Karhu is good, rich tasting, and not filling. Thank you Finland for one of the most memorable years and best experiences of my life.

Karhu is wayyyyy better! I visited there for 4 months and that is all I drank! But there are better beers out there....so an 8 it is! But I still Love Finland!

Like all the common mass produced Finnish beers, completely insipid. This one is worst than most and sometimes has a nasty chemical taste, however. Why anyone would CHOOSE to drink it outside Finland is an intriguing mystery. Karhu and Koff are slightly better (the first is more malty, the second more hoppy), but still bad. The only decent Finnish beer is Koff Porter, a lovely strong, dark porter, and Sahti, which is generally home made and.... unusual.... Ironically, Finnish beer suffers from the same problem that al lot of beers from HOT places suffer from (e.g. Oz, southern U.S.) in that it is designed to be served as cold as possible and to taste of nothing. This is probably because most Finnish beer is drunk in or after Sauna.

Hi, Im an American, who vacationed in Sweden and Finland, and my friend intoduced me to this beer, and, i think it was totally tasteless. It tasted like water, with a hint of beer. I think that it was total crap. I actually am not that big of a fan of Finnish beer, so I'm not the greatest source (lol).

Sorry for my poor English, I'm French. I have drunk several Lapin kulta, the first ones in 1974 ou 75. This summer, I've had the pleasure to drink, once again, some glasses, and some bottles: I have spent 6 weeks in Tampere. In 30 years, I have got time to taste almost all finish beers. The best ? Lapin Kulta or Karhu, I can't decide. Lapin kulta, it is a beutiful name (it means Gold from Lapland in finish). Karhu, it's a bear in finish (Beer - Bear ? Is it a joke?). If you don't have a lot of mney to spend, ans if you are thirsty, taste Olvi. It's cheap, but drinkable. But, it's not a good as Lapin Kulta. D.P.

This is the highest mark I can give a beer at this time. I have never tasted the perfect beer. How would we know? I have tried MANY of the Finnish beers and Lapin Kulta is the best. Karhu , Koff , & Olvi are decent beers. But , I enjoy a cold Lapin Kulta more than any of them. Here in Arizona Budweiser is king. Talk Finland and it`s Lapin Kulta hands down. P.S. The Best Beer " COLD & FREE "

It is hard to decide that Lapin Kulta or Karhu is better in Finland. I'd say that Finish beers are quite bad (I've figured thi out after coming home), but from them probably Lapin Kulta is the best. I preferred the unique one with the cloudberry (lakka) taste (thoguh i didn't feel the difference). Wheter this or other Finnish beers are good or not, I have to say thank you for them...It caused me many excellent moments!!!
