Ketterer Flaeschle - Beer, Other - Reviews & Comments

The Ketterer Brewery in Hornsburg is very small, the better of the two in our opinion, and does not export at all...nor will they ship outside Germany. We'll just have to all meet in Hronburg and enjoy it there!

Our son, William Timothy Ketterer, worked in Zurich for five years. We visited the Ketterer brewery in Florsheim, Germany and were greeted with the greatest hospitality. My name is also William and my grandfather came from the Black Forest area. However, we decided we were not related. The Ketterer beer was the best we have ever tasted. We are sorry we didn't make it to Hornberg to taste that Ketterer beer. Do they export?

There are two Ketterer Brewerys in Germany. One in Hornberg, in the Black Forest, and one in Pforzheim, neat Stuttgart. Amazingly, they are not related at all. The beer here is from the Hornberg brewery. They do not export. They are a local brewery that distributes to a very small area. My son and I visited there in Jul 01. We both loved the Pils. It is truly the best I ever had. Just to make a complete trip, we also visit the Ketterer brewery in Pforzheim. It was also good, but distinctly differenty from the Hornberg selections. Hope this is helpful.
