So I was born in Emmerich, very close to Issum, the home of Diebels Alt.
I grew up with this Beer and have to to say It is only one of two things I really miss here in the US of A.
I was able to get it for a short time. So now that I'm going to brew myself I will strive to come close to the taste of Diebels Alt.
ist tasted about 2 years ago when a nurse in the iraq war was stationed in germany and came across the beer
sent 2 bottles home to my son, i tasted it and im hooked. this yea my daughter in law went to germany for visit with relatives for 3 weeks came back with a case. i got 7 bottles-im more hooked but gave several to other diebels . the empties are a great decorative item -- i know its sold in german restarant in florida and in california. a cousin of mine has a friend in the distributor busness and hes going to check and see i he can import it for us.

this beer is a great tasting beer , my familys name is diebel. I was wondering if there is any kind of relation?
my mothers family is origaly from germany and so is my fathers.
I have not been able to find Diebels Alt In the USA for some time. I especially like their alcohol free beer because, since a heart transplant, I am not supposed to drink alcohol. I have been a visitor at the brewery several times and enjoyed the beer very much as well as the hospitality.
I was stationed in northern Germany from 80-82 and Diebels was by far my favorite beer, and I must have sampled over a hundred different beers during my tour! In fact, Diebels quickly became my beer of choice, it has excellent body, mouthfeel, and is a great session beer! I would recommend it to anyone who is discerning when it comes to enjoying a fine brew!
Had this beer about 10 years ago when i was in germany. A friend brought me back one today and ohh man what a treat it was to have one of theses again. Very full bodied beer. So smooth yet full and flavorful just a real treat
First had Diebels Alt in Emmerich, Germany and loved it. A little bar in Mission Beach, CA imported it and I couldn't have been happier. I think this needs to be distributed all over the US and Canada.
Muy buena cerveza, con sabores nítidos a maltas tostadas. Excelente.
