One of the best beers I've tried! Imported bottled into Australia. Has a refreshing pils style with great flavour and taste.
I live in Greece, and the truth about Mythos is that among Greeks ,Mythos is one of the least preffered beers.
I personally find it to weak as a beer and kinda "watered" (like its been stirred with water).
Yeah you maybe don't get a hangover after several of 'em but you also can barely taste it at all.
I really don't get this! Here in Greece we complain about the lack of european beers in most places and all I read here is that europeans envy a greek beer! Oo...
I have to recommend trying Alpha next time in Greece, that is a light beer as well but with much stronger taste.
You can buy Mythos in the uk, i buy it once a month from a web site called beers of europe, they are based near Norwich, £40 for a case of 24x 330ml.

Not a bad beer, but has anyone tried the other Greek beer............. ZEOS................... going from strength to strength and will soon overtake any other beer in Greece and who knows............... maybe the world as apparently they are looking into exporting. Brewed in Argos, Greece. They do a pilsner called ZEOS in a brown bottle, and a lighter beer called Makedoniki Syntaghy – or Blue Mak in a lovely blue bottle. The ceramic labels make them ideal gifts. Also both are available on draft at selected restaurants.
I think Silenus, Dionysus, or any of the other gods of beer would be proud to drink ZEOS

Why Why Why ? Mythos beer is impossible to buy in the uk !!!!! It has to be the most satisfying refreshing drinks in the world....
Going to crete in a few days cant wait to have my fill. By far the best european beer!

The stuff is legend! Been getting cases of it at the surf4wine.co.uk website since I got back home to the UK.

This seems to have been around on the islands for a lot longer the Mythos.
However what is strange with both of them is that I never seem to get a hangover with them in Greece.
And one final thought, if it was made more available in the UK, well it would just be brewed by somebody like the Scottish and Newcastle brewery in the UK. The result a horrible brew that would be filled with toxins and preservative just like the rest of the hangover ridden europiss brands like Carlsberg etc etc...YUK !

top stuff, drank a lot of this with my mates in Kos last summer, really nice beer, not too weak but not over the top, cant someone import it!
i think this is a amazing beer, and i would and will drink it again next time i visit Greece, its a shame they dont sell it in England
I have to agree, Mythos is the best beer you can have in Greece. Unfortunately, for those who prefer draft beer as I do, in many bars and pubs you have to put up with bottled Mythos. That is if they serve Mythos at all.
One of the better beers around, puts some of the famous ones, like stella, fosters, etc, firmly in the shade. Shame it isn't available in UK, if it was, it would be a best seller.
Holiday sunshine or not, at home (if you can get it) or (preferably) abroad Mythos really is great! By comparison US Budweiser is absolutely industrially dreadful - but let's be right that the real original Czech Budweiser Budwar is in a superb class of its own.
me and my friend has been 6 times to Greece. We always drink the Mythos beer. But we don't understand that the people of Greece drink Amstel or Heiniken when they have a better beer and it is sheapper! I dont think you can buy it in Belgium! otherwise we also by here!
Just back from a Big fat Greek Holiday and fell in love with this beer ! Not for sale in TN unfortunately : (

fits soooo good in the warm wather and on the beach.

My husband I just got back from a cruise for 12 days and we ordered beer in Europe and we fell in love with mykos beer.. We got in both Greek Isles that we went to.
We would love to order some of this beer..

After a holiday in Greece, I was hooked. It is sold in the Porterhouse bar in Covent Garden, £3.10 a bottle, bargin....
i brought so much of this back from kos with me, if only you could get it in england. Better than amstel any day, one of my favourite beers.

Just back from Crete yesterday. Drank "Mythos" every day. Smooth and refined and great with greek food. Found a last can in the `fridge when packing...had to bring it home, but how long can I make one "Mythos" last!?

we not buy this fantastic ale in this country???!!!
Should be given a 9+ rating. It may be the Greek atmosphere, but there's really no better beer to drink in the Islands....And I've tried MANY alternatives! Can't understand anyone mentioning Budweiser (unless it's the real Budwar) in the same breath.
Taste similar to heinaken, but smoother. Great on hot
summer days. had it in Greece found it in Canada!!!

Oh boy, what I would do for a Mythos right now! I studied in Greece spring semester of '05 and I had more than my fair share of that delicious Hellenic Lager.
The best beer in the world by far drink it out of frosted glasses on a hot day. I must have drank about 10 pints and no hangover whatsoever.
It may be the best beer I've had FROM Greece, but it's really nothing special. Hellenic Budweiser.
Brilliant stuff - drink loads with no hangover. Tastes good too, especially after walking round Athens all day!
Mythos is a great light beer. It kept me and my buddies going through the Olympics and is definitely the best beer in Greece.
Mythos, the tears of angels. It is said that god threatened to pull the angels wings off if they didn't cry into big green bottles. So they did and Mythos was born. Drink it till ya fall over and get hurt. It's ace........
