Enjoyed Bin Tang immensely while in Indonesia - especially for the Price. Would like to find a place near Milwaukee Wisconsin USA (or Chicago) that sells the stuff. ANYONE out there know of a USA distributor ??

Great on the way down. Easy to drink drop, but i question the alcohol content as i struggle to get messed up with it.
I personally think that it creates hangovers that could mame a werewolf. A bintang headache is the closest you can get to drill many tiny holes in your head without actually piercing your skull.

i have been living in indonesia for 12 years. every time i drink just 1 bintang beer i get a headache.
BINTANG beer is a really goooood!!!!! i Like it because the bottle is green and it is in a GLASS bottle not a shitty plastic bottle...im glad that indonesia is not the only place you can purchase bintang althought i have only ever drank it when i have bee in bali....acctually i havent ever drank it but going on coments it is gooooood!!!!! Tastes good enough... and its nice to support the local economy. However, be prepared to have mental Bintang dreams. This beer makes you go crazy, like shots of seawater, up the nose, in the sun.

Was in Bali in March and tried Bintang on recomendation of friends there. Yummy!! Plus, they have snappy hats and t'ee's. Wish I could get it in San Antonio, Texas. Am working on some local beer shops to get it.. We'll see. Meanwhile I am returning to Bali in September. Can't wait for more Bintang..
best beer ever. dont know how you could not like it. its the most refreshing thing ever, after a hard day in the bali sun. and definantly better when wearing the hat, using the stubbie holder AND wearing the singlet. good times
Tasting it right now here in Brisbane - shall be in Bali in May. Might as well get used to the beer before going. Find it a rather quaffable beer in the warmer climates which Brisbane is part of as well. Could drink it all day long, and probably now will since i have started. Hope it is as good over there as it is here because the bottle is marked "export only"
The dude called Christian that gave this beer 1 out of 10 is wrong. This beer is fully bonza and is even better apprecaited when wearing a Bintand Hat and Vest whilst drinking it in a bottle in a bintang holder.

As a sun soaked deck cadet on an LNG tanker going into Bontang for the first time, I really wanted to embrace the local culture. Feeling as though I had a 3rd degree sunburn from the equatoral sun, all I wanted was a cool glass of lemonade. Once I found out that I would die if I had lemonade made from local water, I chose to have some indiginous suds. My choice, Bintang beer. When I say that was the best beer I've ever put to my lips, I mean it with ever beat of my heart. Only the day after did I learn that Bintang contains posionous preservatives that give badass hangovers. Personnally, I don't care about all the flaws of Bintang beer, I just love it for being in the right place at the right time.
Just imagine an awesome session at Uluwatu..arms hanging like buggy whips.....an Ice Cold BINTANG!! Priceless...who cares about the headache later? ....head to Kuta Bugar Massage and work it out. Bintang is da kine!
Hot tip for drinking indo beer...... get the knob and wipe the rust and rat piss from it on your shirt.... made fucker showed me that trick right in front on poppies 2 on the beach... legend.
Best beer in Indonesia. Just "Stauder" from Essen/ Germany and Cooper's/ Australia beating it!
drinking Bintang gives you 100% guaranteed headache,Bali Hai beer is better or i would say the best in Indonesia.
I noticed people only vote for beers they like so ALL the ratings are gennerally 9 or 10......Even so, ive been to indo a PLENTY, drunk my Share of bintang n anker n bali hi's. Bintang is the best, and cmon, its alll right

I fell in love with Bintang this summer in Bali. Very smooth and plenty of body and taste. I came back to the states sporting Bintang wear and several of the "Big Bintangs" to share with my friends "Smooth" was the word I kept hearing. They all wanted more.
Let me first tell you that the Bintang Beer for me is the no.1 beer. Second of all: Bintang beer is a rice beer and is not like a normal beer like you are maybe used to!!! And! The beer is especially made for the tropics. No wonder that when people drink heineken or becks in the hot sun that they become drunk and sick quickly. AND!! I know that most english people don't like the rice beer because they are used to drink strong stuff. BINTANG!! YES, a product from Heineken.
Such a great beer and so cheap. Where else can you get a super large bevy for under a buck... canadian. Love it, and had more than our share at happy hour by the pool.
On the plane over flying Garuda i got hooked on the stuff, from then on i started drinking at 12 evey day wit sayet the drink vender underneath a tree on kuta beach. Can u get any better than that.
I've also been to Bali, and the reason why you can drink and keep drinking Bintang bir is that the alcoholvolume is "kurang dari 5%" which means less then 5 percent.
to my knowledge I estimate the alcoholvolume in Bintang bir 2 or 3 %.

I agree with Mr. Bobby Noya that Bintang is a bad taste beer, but Bintang best brand in Indonesia. So, let you choose it, bad taste or best brand?

Bintang is the finest beer in the world on a hot day and when it is included free in my hotel fridge. Yahoo! or is it Gurgle?
Bintang has to me my fondest memory of Bali (and possibly the only one too...) it was a beer that was designed to be drunk in large quantities, and it sure goes down really well. nothing like sipping on a bintang before during or after dinner. Bali hai is the one that should be eradicated... even in a state of depression (after my team got knocked out of the euro in the first round) I still couldnt manage more than 1 gulp of that mettalic brew... but hey, maybe it was a bad batch.
I drank this beer both times I was in Indonesia; first in Jakarta and then in Bali....I love it. Beats the US beers hands down. Nothing like it on a hot day or after work.
I really liked the Bintang !! Every day whilst in Bali I had me a "Bintang Time". Normaly about 4pm when I would sink a few before my dinner. Has to be ice cold though or no good. Better than a Carsberg and much cheaper too !! I want my Bintang Time !!
BINTANG a super drop of beer, sitting on the beach after a top class meal with the misses. It cant get much better than that. I want to go back.
Best beer you can have on Bali. There is Heinekens, Stellas etc, beers that i drink back in New Zealand,,, but, Bintang is designed especially for Indonesia i would say. No other beer beats it.
excellent drop, 20 dollars a six pack here in aus but much better than corona when it comes to an easy drinking beer, love it
