I completely agree with Gary there. It is one of the nicest I have tasted and like Gary, my first experience of it was also in the Killarney Pub in Toulouse. Unfortunately I am unable to find it anywhere in the UK! It would definately go down well here.

Tried BEAMISH RED and KILKENNY a good few years ago and fell in love with them, and then suddenly they disapppeared (in cans) off the shelf of all shopping outlets in this country. A good friend of mine got some cans of KILKENNY for me 2 years but alas they do not last long enough, can anyone pleeeeease tell me were i can obtain them.

I first encountered Beamish Red whilst working at the Killarney Irish Pub in Toulouse, France... and since that day, and a good year of drinking it pretty much solid I consider it the GREATEST ale of its type... However, upon my return to the UK I have found it impossible to find.... and then when I am in Ireland visiting my girlfriend, it is equally as hard to find!!!! The only other source that I have outside of the Killarney Pub and De Danu Pub in Toulouse, is SHANNON AIRPORT. If anyone knows any sources more close to home (UK), and if it is possible to contact Beamish about getting hold of a keg or two... let me know please. TO FINALISE..... ANY AMAZING DRINK, AND EVERY MATE I INTRODUCE TO IT FALLS IN LOVE WITH IT ALSO!

Shannon airport , I have spent many hours awaiting planes back and forth to the US. Whether 7am in the morning, or late in the day the Beamish Red is one of my favorite beers.

While backpacking through Europe headed to Spain via France, a buddy and I stopped for an evening of pints, pints and more pints. We ended up a some Irish Pub in Paris, the only bar with a considerable crowd of French women and the lure of a good time. I ordered a Beamish Red from the tap and it blew my mind. I have had quite the plethora of extravagent beers in my life, but by far Beamish Red is the highlight as of yet. I have searched everywhere in a 75 mile radius and no one here carries this beer; unfortunately, I have to find other means; ie internet distribution. This has also proven quite dificult, with little reward, I still have no Beamish. That is how I came about this site.

I drank 2 pints of this fine brew with the best of friends on our return to the grand ole USA. It is the MOAB...the Mother Of All Beers. My friend JJ hyped me up on this for a year because he was on a flight that was allowed to have one last beer before we had boots on the ground. The most excellent beer I have ever had in my life so far. I plan to find it some way

Used to sell this wonderful ale in Aus. then it suddenly disappeared a couple of years ago so last week I made it. Well the closest thing to it, according to the beer kit shop.

Don't even look for Beamish in Dublin. That is Guinness country. Go to Cork for Beamish. Home of good ales and Cork Regatta.

Ah the joys of a pint of Beamish Red...... It is not too common place even in Dublin unfortunately, however there is fantastic old Dublin drinking house named "Peter's Pub" in the city centre where the best pint Beamish Red is to be found. My local has also just started serving the Red.......uh-oh danger! A great pint for a thirst!

I have been on a quest to find Beamish Red in the US. I had first tried it in France this summer. I have been desperately calling bars all over the place looking for it. If anyone knows where you can find it or if you can order some online please let me know. I have found the Beamish Stout all over the place but no one seems to serve the red ale.

While visiting the South of France on business I found an English pub in a small town, Biot France, with excellent food and the best beer I ever tasted, Beamish Red. I'd give it a 10, but I haven't tried every beer yet! I've found Beamish Stout in the US but never Beamish Red. If you run across it in the US, let me know! Cheers.

Stopped off in Shannon Ireland prior to heading to Kuwait in support of the war in Iraq. Had the best beer I have ever tasted in Shannon International Airport. I had Beamish Red on tap, and needless to say, it was rich and smooth. An absolute delight. After drinking this beer, I have vowed to never again drink Budweiser, or any other watered down American beer. The closest thing to this beer in the states, seems to be Killians Irish Red. Well worth the Euros.
