I drink this beer everytime I go to Puerto Vallarta. Can't find it in the California. Any suggestions on where I can buy it?
Best in Mexico.
Indio is one you'll have to go to Mexico to get. They don't export it for the same reason any country doesn't export the good stuff – it's too good. If you live in Canada or the US your know that Americans don't get the really good Canadain beer unless they visit and likewise in reverse.
A nice dark Mexican beer I have seen in Canada is Negra Modelo. It's almost as good as Indio but you really pay for it in Canada. It comes in a shorter bottle with gold foil on top.
Best to just go to Mexico and get a proper Indio. A 1.2L bottle for under $2 US... can't beat it!
I absolutely Love this Beer, Dark, Smooth, Delicious....I go back home to Nayarit every year, and as a tradition we camp out on the beach for about 7 days...or so. I had heard of Indio in the internet, and when i asked my friends in Mexico where i could find it, they made a face...they wanted to know why I wanted to try it...i said, just to see if everyone that raves about it is lying, I looked and looked and finally found it. I drank, one 40 oz bottle and fell in love with it. its stronger than most other Mexican beers, and it has a very smooth after taste..every time I come home I bring back either 6packs or 40oncers, does anyone know how long beer lasts if its kept in the fridge, I have had a 40oz Indio in my fridge for over 3 years..it has never been taken out, i have like a built in shrine for it in my fridge
I have been looking for Indio for years in the states, ever since I drank it in Monterrey and loved it. Why is it apparently not available ANYWHERE in the US??? You can find pretty much all of the other Mexican beers, but not Indio. If someone can tell me how to get hold of some, please post!
Indio the best beer I ever drank! Nice and dark but with a very smooth fealing!!! Given to me by an uncle in Mexico . Every time I go to see my grandma, I bring back a few cases with me!
When you want something different and good, Indio is the way to go. Probably one of the best beers unknown to many in the U.S. From the same creaters of Tecate.
My favorite beer ever. I wish they sold it in the U.S. somewhere. I had it as an exchange student in Mexico and absolutely loved it.
SMOOTH AND DARK, WISH I COULD FIND SOME HERE. TRIED IT IN ACAPULCO. THE BEST COMBINATION, HOT SUN, LYING ON THE BEACH WITH A COLD INDIO BEER! SALUD!!
From the first taste this brew will grab your palate, with four there is a fiesta in your mouth and everybody is invited.....
also, i would agree that indio is one of the best beers ive ever tasted. ive been all around the world, including germany for octoberfest, and i was floored when trying this beer near veracruz, mexico. alas, i have not been able to come accross it again
i LOVE this beer. i first had it a few years back down in guanajuato and i've brought back a case everytime i get down to mexico. a local told me it isn't imported due to the fact that the 'indio' on the label is wearing a skirt made of an american flag taken in battle. this may be true because each time i've brought a case back, the vendors tend to put it in a different beers case.
I am an exchange student in Monterrey and I have tried nearly every mexican beer there is and indio is the best beer you can buy here except for a beer called cumbres that is brewed in the sierra madre brewing company microbrewery restaurant. Indio is just dark ebough without the heavyness that some dark beers can give you. I am going to tryto get it imported by my friend who owns many liquor stores in the u.s. Salud
Yes, Indio is one of the best beers I have ever tasted. Unfortunately, I dont get down to Mexico often enough. Anyone know of anyone selling it through the mail?
One of the best beers I've had and I am not that fond of beer, but this was so good and I want to get my hands on more of it.
indio is the best beer i have had in mexico. i'm not sure why they don't import it here in the USA. it is brewed with other imported beers i think. anyways anytime I'm there i drink it.
fantastico. loved it, by far the best beer certainly in mexico, maybe even the world......! best enjoyed on the canals in mexico city.
Ole! I wish I could find this up in this neck of the woods. I really enjoy this brew. I used to be the Negra Modelo afficiando but Indio has ended that long time trend at least when I'm down Mexico way.
Indio beer-Mexico
Unlike most dark beers, Indio is smooth with no aftertaste. In my opinion, Indio is the best tasting beer, North or South of the border.
A beer which can be considered as a medium dark one, good for drink it at a bar or a disco, maybe at a pub. Can be found in 339 cl and 1lt bottles. 7 MXN the smallest one.
