Found this beer a bit watery, not much flavour. I imagine it would be nice in the summer months sat by the pool..

Regardless of the reviews posted on this site claiming "this beer sucks" and so on- take no notice. Sol beer isn't just the best beer from Mexico, but in my opinion the best beer...period, the Russian beer Baltika comes close but is more suited for a cold climate. Sol, with or without lime- you can't go wrong/. 10/10. Crisp, clean, refreshing and traditional.
the drink ability is great for this brew in heated days and mixes really well with everything. Do no miss this brew; its definitely a party with every swallow.
I have tried just about every Mexican beer every time I go Home, and this one takes the prize for most horrible beer.
I would much rather drink the water from the Tijuana River instead of this beer.
YUCK so far it has been the only beer in mexico that has ever given me a headache after drinking it
Strange taste to it. Maybe it is the citrus, but does not taste as good as Corona.

Sol is fantastic in the right context - hot weather & sun. On the hottest days, tryi it michilada style with a frosted glass, ice cubes, juice of a lime, salt, and tabasco (optional) and worcestershire (also optional). Not much that is more refreshing than this combo.
Wow...does beer get any better? I live in Fargo and have been trying to find Sol ever since I came back from my honeymoon 3 weeks ago..... anyone know where I can get my hands on some?
If you dont like this beer then you should be shot. This is the best beer that man could create.
Sol is by far the best beer EVER!! I discovered this refreshing beverage as a young child, and have been addicted since! I drink it as much as possible. Im thinking about creating a new religion...Soleptist!
The beer is great. I live in Oklahoma and I used to buy it at the San Marcos mexican restaurant but they told me they could not get it anymore. where can i but the beer at.
I adore it! Being an aussie i love most Beer, but I can Tell you, for me Sol is a beer from heaven. good job i say. I can even get friends who are set in their ways in guzzling the local beers to admit to enjoying it, and believe me, if you knew them thats incredible!
Sol beer is amazing.. Great taste and good with anything from breakfast to dinner.. or just gettin straight faded.. you get a 10 Sol!

Im here in the beer capital, great selection here at liquer stores. I tried it yesterday for the first time. Love it! smooth, yet flavorfull, not too filling, great summer blend.
Small liquer store 4 blocks from my house has it in the round 32 oz quart bottles for $2.29 each plus tax.
I drank SOL 7 years ago in Mexico. Have been back a few times and always enjoy it down there. The other day, I went to two groc. stores and little to my suprise both had SOL. Hell,, I got excited, after looking in Indiana for years. Glad to see it here. Great beer.. Cheers......
Not bad. As an aspiring alcoholic it is a good little drop, smooth not strong in hops or malt but has a nice taste. As with Corona you need a slice of lemon or lime if you will to perk the mellow flavour up. The bad thing, it is expensive as all get-out here and I am sure in Mexico or the USA you would pick a case up for a 1/4 of the price here in Australia, which incidentally runs at $60 for a 24 pack. All in all, a nice number but Corona still has my liver in the Mexicano beer stakes.
I found this Beer on Fathers Day What can I say its great one of the best Beers I have had in ages. Cost alot here in Oz though.
I think it a beer for people that dont normaly Drink beer so if you can find it give it a chance.
For all those people that dont like it dont drink it, bit if you dont try you will never know.

sol is the best refreshing beer i have ever drank.i know they sell it in lehigh acres,florida at the wal-mart.i am still looking for it in ohio.i will drink plenty in cancun this year

A clean tasting mexican beer in the bottle. Very good, not skunky like corona, not bitter or flat like tecate.
I had sol beer in cancun last year It was all I drank. I have asked all around and everyone says that you cannot buy it in the U.S. however I was in virginia beach and I found it in a Food Lion. Whe I came back to Cincy I again called around they keep telling me NOT IN THE U.S.. I brought some back with meFor some friends to try But I am not sure I want to give it away.
I love Sol, but unlike Robert, I have never tried itmixed with urine. I'll just stick to Sol. But hey Robert I salute your endevor to create something you like.
I love SOL, its the best drinkning beer compared to all other mexican beer like corona, superior, modelo and other mexican beer. U gotto enjoy SOL although its a little expensive but it worth it. Corona, superior and modelo are the worst tasting beers, i have ever taste and thats why SOL is my best beer.
Puerto Valarta, Mexico is a beautiful city even more so during happy hour on the beach with a nice cold SOL. i've never been a real big drinker but i'm hooked on it. corona dosen't even come close in by book. Please tell me where can i get me a supply in the states.
A very refreshing warm weather beer. Also try leinenkugels for a real wake up call. If you are weak, do not do the leinies thing... alcoholism will be right around the corner. I mix Sol and Lienies on my Cherios in the morning.. It is sort of a fix.... I am weak.
Completely agree with the last comment, no taste to it whatsoever, no wonder they stick fruit down the neck.
Worst beer ever. Completely without any flavour. Basically its what you would get if you diluted corona with urine. it should be banned in any civilized country.
I was just recently down to Mexican Riveria and I had Sol Beer for the first time and now I am hooked. I have never tasted a beer that went down so smooth and had a kick to it. WOW Does any one no where I can purschase it in the States

Sol Beer is the most fabulous beer around! It is smooth, flavorful and just awesome!! I wish they carried it more in the states or could order it online or something, wait! Maybe you can!! I need to look into that...I know they have it in Chicago...if that helps anyone out! Mmmmmmmm what I would do for a Sol right now...

I like lots of other beers but (2) one Quart bottles of Sol go great with T.V.

Personally I'm a larger fan of stouts - Guinness, Boddington's, etc. However, I'm also huge fan of Mexican cuisine. As most of you probably know, nothing goes better with Mexican food than Cerveza. I do like Corona, I like Dos Equis, and love Tecate, not to mention Negro Modelo. However, upon one of my latest "backyard fiestas", I wandered up on some of this Cerveza Importada -Sol. I will have to say, it simply tramples Corona Extra.
I live in North West Tenn. There is a liquor store, with a cigar/beer shop attached that sells this Mexican treat. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
