Zywiec beer is a colossal crap - drink 5 pints and you will see what happens to you next day. Taste - disgusting! More sweet than bitter, as almost all Polish beers nowadays.

This beer is something else... such a crisp taste. My previous fave was peroni but this takes it hands down.. can be found in Tescos in UK
My wife is from the old country & my grandpartents were from Slovika. Yes this is a mighty tastee brew. It can be found here--except in the liberal swamp of San Fran (sorry but true) Another good option is Zlaty Bazant aka the Golden Pheasant. It is from Slovika not the Chech Rep. The US cost is about the same but it is well worth the price unless you are pounding down, then stick w/ the cheap shit from Bud.
Love it, love it, love it! Although on my first trip to Polan recently I was surprised to have my Zywiec arrive with a straw. But much to my horror, it weirdly tastes better through a straw. Gotta love those crazy Poles.
On my third trip to Krakow Poland in November 2007, I discovered the Żywiec beer. The best beer I have had. Better than a german beer and american but sad to say I live in San Francisco and I cannot find it out here. I guess I will have to go to Poland again.

it is a good old school classic Polish beer. Tyskie, Warka, Zubr are also great. But Zywiec is the most recognizeble one..its like Guinness in Ireland.
Taxas girl! You should be able to find Zywiec in any proper beer store in the US or just find a Polish community and they will hook you up. Also there is plenty of Polish beers in Canadian Liquer stores if you are ever up there
Does anyone know if this beer can be bought in the US? My boyfriend us the tour manager for a texas country band that played there this fall and they LOVED this beer. Zywiec is a truly deliscous lager! With more polish folk coming here it started hitting the shelves in Tesco etc. The best tho is found in the Polish shops, its the proper imported stuff, found in big 650ml bottles and far chaeaper than the big stores. I mean tennents is not bad when u are hungover or just in need of apint, but this is my drink of choice now!!
About 60 years ago I tasted my first beer - Lethbridge Pilsner from Lethbridge Alberta Canada. ZYWIEC tastes just like it. I love it. But where can I buy it in the US?
Oskar Gudmundsson: this berry-blended beer calls Freeq. Żywiec is one of my favorite, but you should also try the red Warka!

Great Beer!!!!!!!!!!!! First had it at the polish club in the 70s. Can be brought from any nottinghamshire morrisons store (the only ones i been to) so should imagine can be brought nationwide from morrisons. price is £1.29 a bottle

A great beer, one of my favourites. Its available in many supermarkets for those of you who are looking to buy bottles of this. Also I have to say that I found that Tyskie beer disgusting - it is like American beer, cheap tasting with no head.

Just discovered Zywiec on a 2 week trip through northern Europe. By far my favorite......had others in Poland, Berlin, Copenhagen, and Sweden. I stumbled across this site while trying to find out if I can buy it in the USA!
Was introduced to this Zywiec by a Polish collegue at the Pub I work in - by far superior to any other beer i have tried. A really crisp refreshing taste, glad we sell it where I work!!
I enjoyed Zywiec much better than Tyskie during my stay in Poland. If it were available here, I would buy it.
The aroma of Ziwiec is special and the taste magnificent.
Good water is one of the key eliments in a good brew and the clennt Tatry-mountain water is great for beer.
For younger drinkers and wimen I can reccomend their newest product that is a beer blended with Berry-juce.
The name of that product I though do not recall.
Excellent pint, helped by the fact it's dirt cheap in Poland and was 20% cheaper at the end of my week there coz the bottom fell out of the Zloty! Recommended.

try ZYWIEC "PORTER"this is for those who like kick in their head...it's 9.5% of alcohol ....but still ZYWIEC is the best polish beer...period
Great overall Beer!, The taste is crisp and smooth, but it does not stand out as being one of my top three favorite beers. The value is great and the alcahol content does the job well.
Budvar Budweiser used to be my favorite drink, then i went to Poland and was introduced to Polish lager. Wow, and this is the cream of the crop. Despite being more lethal than any normal british lager (its 5.7%), it still soars way ahead when it comes to taste, a crisp, refreshing drink that you will never tire of, trully a worldbeater.
hey. ive just discovered zywiec for the first time in weastherspoons......must say its good to get drunk on!, and its the first beer ive seen with a thermometer on the bottle!! class!!......

i think that this beer is not up to the standard of the other avalible beers, here, in poland. Tyskie, Zubr, and Lech are better. Zywiec also false advertises saying that they are the best beer in poland, where as Tyskie is the leading brand in Poland.
Spent a month or so in Poland teaching and developed quite a taste for it. In the small villages its only about 2,5 or 3,o zt but in the cities its more like 4,0 or 5,0. Tastes good everywhere though. I've seen in England a couple of times - Big Hands in Manchester is one but only in bottles.
A good, clean, +5% lager and excellent value for money
Great natural beer, not gassy, no chemical taste and cheap (about 1gbp for large glass), plus as yet no major signs of a hangover, bonus !
About 5.55 alc it's quite a good quality beer, and like alot of Polish beers even better quality for the price. Could compete easily with West European beers anyday.
