although I prefer ales, I tried this lager I purchased in a local lcbo outlet. I too agree it has a very smooth malty flavour. Usually when the alcohol content rises above 5.5% the flavour descends proportionaly but this one doesn`t. I think that with some more hop Zip & aroma it would rival some of the better ales

I live local to a polish shop and buy this in case form(24 cans for £24)on regular occasions. The drink is amber in colour with a very malty flavour and a respectable 7% strength. This goes down well without any bitter after taste and i would recommend this any time as you can't go wrong with it!

I just got introduced to Warka Strong beer about 8 months ago. I think it is a very good beer, excellent taste! But...I was drinking 1 yesterday, had 2 sips from the bottle, and noticed there was some kind of rubber washer in the bottom of the bottle. I was not to happy to see that. Does anyone know how I can contact the brewing company to let them know. Thanks, James Sept. 1, 2008

I recently went on a 3 week trip through Spain, Portugal, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Austria. I sampled local beers in every place I visited, and Warka Strong is definitely the best of them all!! Brilliant color and aroma, and a taste that is sweet and bold without being overpowering. GOTTA find out where to get it here in the states.

A delicious 7% lager, darker in colour and a stronger taste to the normal Warka (5.2%), but just as easy on the pallette. Delicious with cheese on toast.

Fantastic flavour and aroma, bittery-sweet, very strong about 8% alcohol. Tastes wonderful hot as a GRZANIEC. HOW TO MAKE GRZANIEC: pour the beer into a pot and warm it using a cooker to achieve a nice heat (don't boil it!!!). Add a teaspoon of juce/sugar and some cloves (do it gently to avoid growing of froth). Stir it occasionally. Serve hot in a tall beer glass. IMPORTANT ADVICE: never try to make grzaniec in a microwave - tastes awfully!
