Saris - Best of the Best
I travel to Slovakia about three times a year since my long term girlfriend lives in Banska Bystrica. Over the years I've tried them all but find Saris light my favorite. I drink the others when the Saris isn't available and they ALL are better than the crap made in the USA but Saris is easy, goes down neat and gives me a nice buzz. I always bring a few cans back with me and my girlfriend does as well when she comes over here. Does anyone know if it is ever imported to the States? For now I can drink the Budvar (the real Budweiser) under the import label Czechvar. It's good, better on tap in Europe and certainly better than the panther piss they make in St. Louis and call "Budweiser".

Dear Peter,
I sincerely wish we could get Saris here in the States. I happen to have a six pack of Saris Tall Boys sitting in my kitchen but that's because my Slovak girlfriend brought them to me. She just went home yesterday and was carrying a bottle of Bacardi Anejo rum with her since it's unavailable in Slovakia. It's a pity that each of us likes a drink that's not available at home. BTW, try the Bacardi Anejo if you want one of the smoothest rums on the market.
Best, Biminibill

I traveled to Slovakia in 2005 and discovered Saris... a great beer. I recall that Zlaty Bazant was pretty good too, but Saris was by far the best, for my taste. Regretfully, we did not bring more than one bottle of the Saris Premium Lager back with us. If any of you know how to get Saris in the United States, please post the information. Thanks!
