i have crohns and cant drink much fizzy as i bloat is sam mig fizzy? or any spanish beer recomended
Well, I could be biased, because I had just come from Germany, the fatherland of great beer, but I did not like this stuff at all. I tried drinking it a number of times while in Mallorca, but compared to what I had grown accustomed to, San Miguel was skunky and hard to swallow.
My idea of heaven is sitting in my favourite bar in Lanzarote drinking a cold San Miguel out of a chilled glass. Absolute bliss.
san miguel for export has a differnt taste as compared to local SM. Local beer is far superior. Why?

The Philippines version of San Miguel Beer is a million times better than its Spanish version.

san mig phils and spain have the same origins although in 1953, the spanish brewery has had different ownership. The spanish beer tastes a lot like the pilsen that is in the philippines.

you can get SMB in CALI... try those filipino stores...most of the time they have SMB....

San Mig Pale Pilsen is definitely one of the best beers in the world until.... SAN MIG LIGHT came to the picture... either way.. way to go, Phils... I Love ThIs Beer A lot.. very much refined beer it is.. not too hard.. not too soft.. just plain.. perfect.. simple.
The original San Miguel Beer in Philippines is 1000 times better than the Spanish verion.
Great beer! reminds me of spain where we found a bar where they sold it for 1 euro! Its that great i am even buying my friend a few bottles for christmas!
I just finished a bottle of San Miguel Dark, formerly known as cerveza negra, and the only thing I can think of as better would be a second bottle. And since my filipina honey-ko (thirty years of welded bliss!) brought two 6-packs of the wonderful stuff home from the New Truong Ngyuen grocery store this afternoon, all I have to do is walk to the refridgerator, which is less than two meters away. Bye, now!
BIntang is the best beer in the world until...... damn that San Mighue Beer.... Bintang is smooth -- but SMB light is both Mild and Smooth and sweet and... manila vs. bali... wats up???
I have been living in Auckland for almost 8 months and haven't had a drop of San Miguel Beer since I got here... until two days ago. A visit to an Asian store brings many joys! And the best purchase for that day? 16 bottles of San Miguel Beer (12 San Mig Light and 4 San Miguel Pale Pilsen)!!! It was a great feeling!!! Im happy as well for all your great reviews for this Philippine product.
Maybe the liquor commision store in Montreal still sellls San Miguel beer. I mannaged to get some a long while ago.

San miguel Is the tastiest drink EVER! it is so refreshing, its like being in heaven drinking from the well of nectar! anypne who thinks this beer tastes horrible should take a look at what they think is nice, probably some old mans guiness crap!
we drank this beer in spain on vacation and we drank it whole day long - i think about 7 to 8 litres a day per a person. it is the best beer i ever tasted!
i love this beer it has a unique flavour that can't be beaten!!!.Just coming off the last reply YOU can get san miguel in uk. Just look at the bottle/can.. if it says premium on the can then its brewed in edinburgh and as agreed tastes terrible(5.0 alc). BUT the big bottles that say cerveza on the front from supermarkets is the real stuff 4.5 alc( im drinking it now :-)) regards mark
when it is brewed in spain this beer taste fanstastic but the stuff in the uk is brewed in scotland and tastes like haggis piss. get the spanish stuff if you want a good beer!
Without a doubt, San Miguel beer is the best beer I've ever tasted. Other beers, like those brewed in Asia, especially Chinese countries and here in Malaysia, taste like grampa's piss. Even though I'm Malaysian, I love this beer so much. The local beers here are like bathwater from an ignorant peasant family. The Filipinos really have it goin when it comes to beers since, according to my research, they grow the finest crops for beer in Asia, combined with western know-hows from Spain and the U.S...If I had the chance to change my nationality, I'll be Filipino. San Miguel gives you a taste of fine culture...i love San Mig!
I'm very sad here in Malaysia because there is not San Miguel in our place. Even if there was, there isn't any ices availabe for the cold of the beer because there is no electricity here. Beers here are pilak! I love San Miguel!

I've been fortunate to drink San Mig in various countries including Spain; Hong Kong; Australia and Philippines.
Without a doubt the brew from the Phiippines is the best. I was also amongst a small group of people who were invited to the bottling plant just outside of Manila. Fully automated modern place with so few people, I thought that there must have been a strike! I believe that its not the recipe that causes the subtle difference between countries, but the flavour of the ingredients and the quality of the water. Either way, I like it very much.
San Miguel set up in Spain in 1950's - now has no connection with the Manila brewery.
Excellent lager, now brewed in the UK by Scottish Courage under licence.
This is the king of beers. i've tased a lot of brands. its full flavor beats the rest

San Miguel is awesome!!! We first tried it in Lanzarate and now it's all we drink.
The Filipinos have done one thing that's good for the world, San Miguel Beer rocks...
SAN MIG!! the best beer by far. you're not a beer drinker unless you drink san mig.
