Don't know what the other reviewers are on, but Safari is the foulest beer I've ever tasted. Has the distinct flavour of something you would keep under the sink, the aroma of petrol & the label appears to have been designed by a colour blind 5-year-old.
Kilimanjaro and Serengeti are much better choices. Steer clear of Tusker too, tastes almost exactly like Safari.
When I was in Tanzania I was always offered Safari. I noticed that my Tanzanian Counterparts were all drinking Kilimanjaro. When I asked why? they said Kilimanjaro was their weekday beer and Safari wasfor the weekend.
Both were good but Safari was better. I also tried out Serengheti just to be fair.
Safari mojo huanzisha nyingine is right! Spent two weeks in Kenya and Tanzania this summer and drank enough Safari to fill a bathtub...it was definitely the best beer there. Tusker, Kilimanjaro and Serengheti don't live up to Safari...unless you enjoy weaker beers. Can't wait to get my hands on some again!
I just got back from Tanzania, and want to know WHERE THE HECK CAN I BUY SAFARI IN THE U.S.?
Probably i wont say more for the best of my selection i better prefer Saaaafari! since i have noticed it to be the Strongest Beer in all these three East African Countries.

safari lager can be purchased in UK from a shop known as bongo flavour in Reading, their telephone number is 0118 958 7924. there u can find varous Tanzanian beers such as Serengeti (My favourite), Kilimanjaro, Tusker etc.
i spent a month in tanzania and this was the best beer i have had in my life, im normaly a stella man my self but even that is not as good as a safari. does any1 know if you can buy it online and have it imported into the UK?
Best beer in Tanzania. After spending 10 months there I began to develop a tate for it. It's not the best beer in the world, but it's a solid lager - similar (but superior) to Tusker. As it was expalined to me, the label itself adds to the ambiance - there's a big house with a smaller house on the other side of the lake, symbolizing wealth and prosperity. The large house is for your first wife, the small house across the lake is for your second wife. My next favorite Tz beers were Bingwe and Ndovu.
Oh, Safari Lager is the best beer in whole Africa. In Dar es Salaam it's so hot, you can drink litres of safari and you won't get drunk.

Spent 4 months in east africa - by far and away the best beer i have ever had. Some batches can be dodgy, that can explain any bad reviews, but on the whole a great beer guaranteed to be a good night...
Blah. It wasn't anything great. It comes in a 500ml bottle.
