What has happened to the great beer stones? I can happily devour 8-10 cans with no bother. Now its sold its soul to the devil in leaves me feeling sick after 4. Bring back the Yorkshire pride.
What ever happened to draft stones in a can that was a nice drink...but hey Stones is great.
Nice beer at a good price.
STILL 7.NOT EVEN STONES NOW SINCE IT WAS MOVED FROM SHEFFIELD.JUST HAD 12 CANS.NOT BAD BUT STILL A BIT GASSY AND METALIC.IF YOUR AFTER A GOOD PINT CHECK OUT THE WENTWORTH BREWERY SITE.THERE IS A PUB IN CHAPELTOWN SHEFFIELD CALLED THE COMMERCIAL WHICH SELLS ALL THEIR BEERS.BUT THEY DONT SELL STONES.

Stones is the greatest bitter of all time! Never tasted better! Always best chilled.
Nothing can quite beat those cold orange cans being downed! Pure bliss. Have had many an enjoyable trip up north, sinking Stones to the envy of all my jealous friends.
Although I really enjoy a pint of Stones I think the cans take some beating
Where can I get a can?
this is by far the best bitter that is brewed, i am normally a larger drinker but recently evey time i go to purchase some alcohol i find my self drawn to it and it is the same when i am at my local pub stones is the only thing i drink.
so by my opinion best damn bitter ever mabe truely is pure yorkshire gold
as a lager man im not to parcial to bitter, but stones is by far the nicest and the only bitter i can drink,
Always enjoyed stones bitter, hopefully, always will...precious stones, rolling stones, william stones & ouch broken bones, it’s part of our lives....cheers to you all................
Pure gold! what else can I say!
Am drinking Stones as i write this. Easy drinking bitter at a very reasonable price. Somewhat metallic aftertaste perhaps due to the fact that its from a tin but still very pleasant. No real distinctive taste, kinda mild really, most people should get on with it pretty well. Would like to try it on draught but haven't seen it yet. Overall a worthy bitter at this price.
well...........stones bitter, pure yorkshire gold. lovely stuff
Full on! Stones really is pure yorkshire gold and a truly fine session bitter (much better, in fact, than Thwaites Smoothflow). I would happily devote my life to William Stones, in fact each year I celebrate the anniversary of Stones like christmas day (except with stones as the only available beverage). A quick question to Rebecca Stones, do you have William Stones' hammer/anvil and could I borrow it?
Just a little note to hi to anyone who is interested, I am the great, great grandaughter of william stones. I have beer in my blood!!!!!!
For the best pint of stones by far try the steelmelters , killamarsh.
This beer is a premium beer, and a lovely tipple. There is nothing better than a drop of Yorkshires finest in a glass. I love it. Linders Kara is a slag!!!! Thankyou William Stones.
Stones bitter, pure Yorkshire. What else is there to say? Stones is the reason I get up in the morning and go out in the evenings, I don't know where I'd be without my pint size friend of Yorkshire.
William Stones is a good lad, and here's to all the good lads out there.
G'lad
Love it to bits! Contrary to popular belief, Stones is great from the can. However, must be drunk cold. Totally agree that on tap, there's nothing better!
Tip for pouring from can - Open can and pour upside down quickly in to a pint glass until a nice head foams. Then start sipping at the head for a fine refreshing taste!
Has gone downhill since they moved production to Burton. In cans it tastes crap and induces once hell of a hangover. Properly conditioned and hand pulled it tastes great and is well worth the effort.
It's not too strong so is a good session beer. As someone has already said it must be chilled to be enjoyed - I'll have none of this Southern habit of serving bitter at room temperature - yak.
ive been brought up on stones bitter.it the best ever if from a good public house who take care of their casks.in cans it has a slight metallic aftertaste and is even worse if not chilled.im not a fan of cream flow which is like drinking fire extiguisher.
