I just found this beer while on a trip to Scotland. I think it is the best dark beer I have had. Smooth, creamy and very little bite. That and no headache afterward.
"Nice taste"??
McEwans lager, like the majority of British attempts at lager, manages to taste largely of nothing at all. If you've grown up with American commercial beer, or the big commercial Aussie brands, then this might seem to taste quite good. If you're at all familiar, from the Germans or the Czechs, with how lager is capable of tasting, I'd suggest you steer clear.
