Britains best selling lager? why, well it is better than all other mainstream mid strength lager but that has got to be it. Although in the bar where I work it is our best selling lager we do sell good stuff as well if only Carling and Fosters could be replaced with good alternatives such as Budvar, Peroni, San Miguel and Cobra.
Heard of the campaign for real ale will someone start the campaign for good lager (AND THAT IS NOT AMERICAN CRAP BUD!!)
Two pints of this chemical filled crap ensures the worst headache you'll ever experience next morning. Down there with the worst slops you could ever get from a week-old drip tray, along with Carlsberg, Bud, and thank Christ Greenalls pulled out of brewing, Grunhalle (worst pint I ever tasted in 30 years of drinking, The Seagull, Towyn, N.Wales).
Anything brewed in the uk lager wise is rubbish and this is no exception, its about time these pubs started stocking some genuine export beer, fed up going in pubs and seeing the same old six beers, carling, carlsberg, tetleys, fosters, 1664, stella, god help us.
a true story... a man returns from a european holiday (where he has fully enjoyed the local beer(s)), enters his local and in a moment of dreadful naivety orders a pint of C, after one large sip he is outside in the road, vomiting.
not to be confused with real beer, this product may have a role in cooking (steak and ale pie etc.) but should not be drunk neat.
£2.70 - you don't know whether to laugh or cry
