I had Smithwick's in Kansas City, MO down at the Power and Light District. It was the smoothest beer I've ever had. Where in MO can you buy it?

This is one of the most flavorful beers I have ever had. I F'ing love even cheap beer, so this beer completely smacked me in the face and spoiled me. It's at George & the Dragon in Phoenix and usually at most Irish bars. Sometimes they run out at Rosie McAffrey's I'm sure because it's so good everyone orders it. Keep in mind, if you are in a loud bar and you want smittick's, make sure the bartender hears you correctly. This one chick thought I said Guiness and gave me a 5 gallon bucket of guinness (which is delicious, but very thick) that I had to choke down. I was contemplating smittick's all night and ended up with regular old Guinness. I was so disappointed. I don't know where to get this in bottles. I'm hoping at Bevmo?

All I've been drinking was Newcastle, until the bartender suggested Smithicks. Ah man, I absolutely loved it! They serve it here on draft at the Royal Oak Pub restaurant in Elk Grove, CA. They also have it on draft at Bonnlair in Sacramento. Where oh where can I buy this in bottle???

Was able to drink a couple pints of Smithwicks in Coronado. It was the first time I had it but it is oh so smooth. I was there on business from Seattle, I thought we had some good microbrews but this one topped out, understanding it is not a microbrew..... Found it yesterday at Foodmart in Lemoore, Ca. Snatched up a couple of 6's. Stuffed it in the bottom of the cooler for a get together, people were diggin deep for the good stuff. Stashed a few on the side for me later....

Also available in bottles in Nashville and was served at the Irish Festival in Louisville last month.

One if the best beers I've ever had. They have it in Annapolis, MD at Sean Donlon's Irish Pub. ....now if I could only find it in the stores.....

Smithwicks beer was served at the Renaissance Fair in Gold Canyon, Arizona this past February 06. I fell in love with it then, and am very happy to report that it is available in 6-packs in the LA area. I find it at the Ralph's on Wilshire Blvd. just west of the 405 freeway. Am planning a road trip across the country, to PA this summer. Will be looking for it enroute. Cheers!

Smithwick's has been available here in So Cal for at least the past six months or so. Hard to get, but when you get it, IT'S GOOD!!! It has a light stiffness to the taste, it definitely lets your nose know that it's there, but no bitter nasty aftertaste, nothing negative about the beer whatsoever. I would compare the taste and effects to beers such as a Sam Adams, Heineken (not nearly as strong though), and possibly Killians, but with a brighter taste and odor to it.

I fell in love with this beer when me and the wife honeymooned in ireland. Then low and behold here it was in my very own wisconsin bars. I'm trying to spread the word. I make a point of visitng bars that server it.

They have Smithwick's on tap at Mulligan's Pub on 2nd Avenue in Nashville. Good stuff. Hard to decide between that and Guinness sometimes.

Discovered Smithwick's on a trip to Dublin about a year ago and loved it. Guinness is terrific in its home country and it's almost worth it to go just to try a pint poured the right way from a fresh keg, but it was Smithwick's, which I'd never heard of before the trip, that was my favorite. When I got back, I found out it was going to start being sold in the US. A St. Patrick's Day miracle! Its beautiful red-brown color makes it great before you even taste it, and the tasting does not disappoint. Crisp and clean, especially for an ale, but with a full-bodied flavor and nose-filling aroma that makes it surprising to me that they didn't try to blasphemously dub it Guinness Lite for the US market.

Where in Arlington, VA do you buy it? What store?

I first discovered Smithwicks on a Guiness-drinking trip to Ireland. The bartender was amused that I had come specifically to drink only Guiness and see the sights. He suggested I try a Smithwicks. The flavor was nothing like anything I had ever tasted! I had only one Guiness my first night in Dublin and drank Smithwicks at every pub, in every little town, every day the rest of the vacation.

Just got back from ireland. The Smithwick was the best we tried.

Made by the fine people at guinness, it is truly a great import. It is beginning to be easily avalible in NYC, so I'm sure the rest of the country isnt far behind. Lots of flavor, and not as thick as its cousin

Smithwicks is available in bottles at all Meijer Stores in Michigan. 6 pack runs for about $7.50 plus deposit. For those in the Nashville area, make a stop at Mulligans across from the Wildhorse Saloon and have a Smithwicks, authentic Irish music every weekend.

Smithwick's happens to be an Irish beer produced in Kilkenny. Maybe it is produced under licence in the U.S. as well but it is still an Irish beer!!!!!!!!!

I look forward to a better taste because my tongue is still enjoying the sensation. You can get it in Maine - so it will soon be elsewhere!

I also discovered Swithwicks in Ireland, and have been dying for it since. Does anyone know of any pubs in Seattle that serve it?

Great beer. Unexpectedly found on tap at the Jolly Drayman Pub, in the Briar Lea Inn situated on Rte 2 in Bethel, ME. Great hosts, too: Jenny (native of the west country in England) and her husband, Richard. Excellent grub also makes this a great stop (or, destination.)

Found Smithwicks or (Smithicks) as they prononce it in Kiltimagh co. Mayo Eire. I was 14 years old and having the time of my life and this beer was the reason for the nights we all went out for the dances. Mind you this was 1986. There were not that many regulations in small towns at that time. When I found smithwicks in a little pub in Marietta 4 months ago it brought back so many memories. My dad was still alive and drinking beer with me, The nettles we were all stung by and the fresh air of Ireland. I am 33 now and you can bet I will be back. Not to Dublin but the small town that my mother and her brothers grew up in. See Ya T. Cavin

I first tasted the sweetness in Ireland last fall, it was amazing, since then I've had it in the bottle like four times, but it's hard to come by. And I couldn't find it anywhere else in Europe besides Ireland. But I'm in luck, this weekend I'm going to an Irish Pub in Columbus that has it on tap!!! Wish me luck, I'll have one for y'all haha yeah.

While visiting my brother who lives in Ireland I was introduced to Smithwicks beer. We love it! I live in the Atlantic City area of South Jersey and am trying to find area bars that have Smithwicks on tap. I have found a place in Cape May but hope to find someplace closer. Still looking.

Swithwicks is now available in Pittsburgh in some pubs... and suprisingly a couple of beer distributors. I believe it is slowly becoming more available, begining with the east coast then making its way west. Good thing I live on the east coast

My husband & I had a vacation in Ireland for 15 days and it was beautiful. I wish I could live there. Anyway while vacationing there I fell in love with a beer called Smithwicks. When I got back to Wisconsin I kept telling everyone about the beer. I even found a website where other people were talking about Smithwicks, but we couldn't find it anywhere. My husband and I went to the corner bar for a fishfry and I couldn't beleive my eyes. They have Smithwicks on tap. I was so happy we got Smithy's in Wisconsin. There is also a place in Madison that has it. I can just walk out my front door and go about 2 blocks to have my Irish beer.

I first tried Smithwicks while on my honeymoon in Ireland. For years i wished it would come to the U.S. and 2 years ago it came to DC. it is now being served in more and more places. but still only on draft. I found Smithwicks to be perfect I can't really put it into words. Lighter than Guiness but with more umphhh than Harp.
