Alley Cat Cafe Not So Great by Gumballz
My partner and myself had dinner at the Alley Cat Cafe in October 2009. The cafe is located in a dirty alley way full of rubbish outside. Inside the cafe was small and dingy. The place was covered in cobwebs and it looks like the place hasn't seen a fresh coat of paint in a very long time. The place overall had a very tacky appearance. The service was very slack. We had to call the staff when we wanted to order food/drinks as they were all too busy socializing. The staff had no interest in their customers, instead spending the entire time we were there talking with a bunch of Americans and one man was hanging out with what appeared to be his girlfriend. They were also swearing which was very unprofessional. The food specials seemed really good, but overall the food was nothing special. Quesadilla was burnt. Portion size was small/average. Overall I would definitely give this place a miss and go to one of the other Mexican restaurants in town.
This place has excellent tex-mex and the biggest burgers in town all cooked up by American cook Dallas. The decor is stunning featuring a huge mural of cartoon cats and they have great value rooms on a monthly basis.
