| Austin Travel Guide for backpackers |

| Attracting devotees of Folk and R&B music Austin has been a retreat for musicians, writers and artists since 1960.
It is also a city where cycling is the easiest form of transport, and has a great park with hiking and biking trails, as well as a swimming pool fed by natural spring water. Being a university town there is a great student vibe, and a feeling of safety and security. |
