| Benidorm Travel Guide for backpackers |

| If you don’t mind sharing a 6km(3 ½ miles) beach with up to 180,000 other people, all beer-drinking and rowdy, Benidorm may be the place to check out for a couple of days during summer. In winter it is overrun with Eastern European pensioners.
The recently built Aiguera Park and amphitheatre offer free cultural attractions such as dancing, jazz, soul music and (ta ra - wait for this) even a Russian choir. From the sublime to the ridiculous - but whatever takes your fancy. |

DAILY BUDGET in BENIDORM - Compared with the rest of Europe, Spain is a reasonably priced country to visit and even more so in the smaller cities. With all the noise, drunkenness and revelry, which is so much part of the Benidorm experience, you will want to find yourself a quiet, clean room to get your head back in sync. Therefore, budget on around US$38 which will also cover food, nightlife and buses. |
As already mentioned the amphitheatre concerts are free, but you can find a tiny piece of beach on which to take in the sea and sun, along with the rest of the town, or make your way into the countryside where life is a little less frenetic and touristy and just take in the surroundings with the locals.
Poniente Beach - This beach offers 2km of fine sand / sea which even in Summer is NOT packed only the Levante beach gets the hoards of tourists. This is the beach prefered by the locals and Spanish visitors void of drunken tourists.
