DAILY BUDGET in CAPE COD - Camping, or staying in hostels, and cooking your own food, should see you right on US$50 a day, but for a more memorable time with some comfort in cheap hotels and some decent food at mid-range restaurants, with a little left over for sight-seeing, then rather budget on about US$ 100 per day. |
Beaches - From the amazing waves of Cisco Beach to the quiet out-of-the-way spots where you can soothe your inner self or whatever the latest fad is, Cape Cod has them all.
Martha's Vineyard - Just seven miles south of Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard has a century-old fairground carousel, elegant old Victorian terraced cottages, and Edgartown of ‘Jaws' fame, that is the oldest settlement on the island.
Nantucket - With its cobbled carriageways and carefully restored old buildings, Nantucket beats even Boston with the number of buildings it has registered with on the National Register of Historic Places.
|

Arno's - 41 Main St, a wide range of foods are served here, with great man-sized breakfasts, and the prices are good.
The Juice Bar - 12 Broad Street, this hole-in-the-wall gem of a place, serves excellent ice-cream and all things fattening like superb homemade hot fudge.
Provisions - 3 Harbour Sq, sandwiches, soups, muffins, or salads are all available at this inexpensive sandwich shop.
|

Boarding House - 21 Federal, cool scene, great for meeting singles.
The Muse - 44 Atlantic Ave, pizzas, subs, and beer, dancing to the sounds of live rock bands, and a pool table, make this one of the most popular places for the younger set.
The Chicken Box - 12 Dave St , reggae, funk, and rock get the crowd going, and beer, shots, and mixed drinks, keeps them bopping in this thirty year old establishment.
