| Capri Travel Guide for backpackers |

The island of Capri, just off the far end of the Sorrentine peninsula, has long been the most sought-after part of the Bay of Naples. With the discovery of the Blue Grotto and the island's remarkable natural landscape, the island attracts a steady flow of artists, writers and inquisitive tourists.
Capri is the main town of the island, nestled between its two mountains, its houses connected by winding, hilly alleyways that give onto the dinky main square of Piazza Umberto, crowded with cafe tables and lit by twinkling fairy lights in the evenings. |
