DAILY BUDGET in CINCINNATI - If you are prepared to put up in hostels or camps, and bring in you talents as chief cook and bottle-washer then you could squeak by on US$ 53 a day, but for US$124 a day you could add a bit of zing to your stay with a room at a B&B, at least one decent meal at a mid-range restaurant and get to see a few sights. |
Downtown - set in the heart of downtown is Fountain Square with cool shady trees, and across the street the art-deco Carew Tower, from which heights you can view the entire city with Mount Adams as a backdrop and the Ohio River snaking past.
Mount Adams - The centre of Cincinnati nightlife, Mount Pleasant is a 19th century neighbourhood with well preserved architecture, but also has modern shops and restaurants.
Walking - Lying as close as it does to surrounding hills and river Cincinnati is a great place for walking,

Gusto's - 950 Pavilion Str, gather here with others of your ilk, and enjoy the low prices along with the excellent nosh.
Friendly Stop Cafe - 985 Congress Ave, this neighborhood bar set in the village of Glendale serves good cheap food as well as good cheap cold beer.
Cone - 6855 Tylerville Rd grabs some great cones and hotdogs or corn dog, or hot sandwich at this inexpensive and popular hangout.

Mad Frog - Located at 1 E. McMillian St., Clifton, this building painted an eyeball-searing green is home to one of the best local music bars in Cincinnati.
Lucille's - Located at 3715 Winston Ave., Latonia, cool your heels at Lucille's listening to live blues and just chillin'. Laugh at Go Bananas: 8410 Market Place, Montgomery. Top-shelf comics come here to make Cincinnatians laugh. Call for show times and reservations. (513) 984-9288.
Southgate House - Located at 24 E. 3rd St., Newport, this bar/nightclub is where you can mellow out and listen to the music of some brilliant live bands.
