| Cornwall Travel Guide for backpackers |

| This ancient land, a peninsula at the extreme southwestern part of England, is its own island, and is almost completely surrounded by the sea. With rugged cliffs and sandy beaches, and secret, tucked away bays and coves, it was a great place for pirates to hide out, and was rife with smuggling and a great deal of underhanded shenanigans. Today, of-course, all this has changed and now no-one more sinister than artists or anglers roam the coastline. |
