| Denver Travel Guide for backpackers |

| With the majestic Rocky Mountains watching its back, Denver really doesn't have much to worry about and has grown into a city that is the cultural and commercial centre of Middle America.
With all the attractions offered by big city environs, Denver also has a great outdoor, get back to nature, and a doggone ‘hooting and a hollering' feel to it. |
DAILY BUDGET in DENVER - If you don't mind roughing it in cheap hostels or camping, and are prepared to cook your own meals, then US$50.00 a day should see you through, but if you want to add a little of the hooting' and a hollering' to your visit, then bank on spending more in the region of US$100 a day. This will get you a motel room and some decent food at a mid-range restaurant or cafe.
Chatfield Nature Reserve - 700 acres of natural habitat filled with indigenous wildlife, also contains two 19th-century farms, and a schoolhouse, which are registered as National Historic Places.
