| Dundee Travel Guide for backpackers |

| Set in a landscape of contrasts with the Highland Glens and gentle rolling lowlands offset by the rugged coastline, where romantic castles and magnificent gardens take the traveller into a different reality.
Not all of Dundee lives in the past though and the city has new millennium modernity along with top rate shopping, art, theatre and culture. |

|

The Golden Dragon - Tav St., great Chinese food within a backpacker's budget is served here.
Gallery Cafe - McManus Galleries, coffee, cakes and reasonable priced chow are sold here.
Tak-Awa - Clepington Road is great for (duh) take-aways.
|

The Centenary Bar - On Clepington Road, this is a great working man's pub where you can relax and have a few shots without standing on ceremony.
The Planet Bar - On South Road, this friendly local has been described as a ‘good little boozer', and that just about sums it up.
The Weavers Arms - On Princes St, is a great place for Karaoke, with man sized bar lunches at backpacker-sized prices.
